Advice on Searching for Remote Codes
Categories: Devices / Other Hardware
The Slingbox uses the same remote codes as "One For All" remote controls and most "Radio Shack" remote controls, therefore if you can't find a code for your device and you want to search to see if a code for a different brand will work, in addition to searching these forums, you could also search the following forums...
1) Remote Central
2) Hifi-Remote.com
If you find the right code, but it's not in the Slingbox, post whatever info you found about the code and it can probably be added to the Slingbox.
If you can't find the right code that way, you could also check the file section at Remote Central to see if there's a Pronto file for your device, as we can use these files to create codes for the Slingbox.
RNG110 Pace Comcast HD box code for the SlingBox is C1982 and you enter it under Custom Codes
I tried entering the code C1982 but is give me the message can't find code on the slingbox. I have the Solo, does it need to be programmed first? I am not a too tech savy. I have comcast with this new box to get digital channels, now I can't get slingbox to control the unit. Any help?
I just got the Rng110 Comcast HD Box. Tried using the code C1982 with my solo, but says slingbox cannont find the code. Is it available on the solo? Do I need to program the code in? Any help is appreciated.
Try upgrading to the latest firmware. My posting was for when you have an HD unit. Sorry if I wasn't clearer.

I have the HD RNG110 and a Slingbox Pro. When I enter a custom code of C1982 the Slingbox software says "Custom remote code not found"...any ideas?
I just got the Pace RNG110 and I'm using an older slingbox (AV). The C1982 code also did not work for me - Sling setup said it could not be found.
Solution: On the menu, instead of choosing Pace or any custom code, choose Comcast as the brand and select the RNG200.
As far as I can tell, it works. Make sure there's no leading 0 put on the channel numbers and that should solve the problem.
Enjoy!
