At long last, one of the most highly anticipated software applications for all current and prospective Slingbox owners is seeing the light of day. That, of course, is SlingPlayer mobile, the long anticipated application that will allow you to watch your home TV on a Windows Mobile device. That's right, SlingPlayer is now mobile. Now only one question remains... Has Sling Media been able to cram the full Slingbox experience on these tiny mobile devices?
Pricing
The SlingPlayer Mobile BETA will be available as a free download to all consumers from Sling Media's website. The software will remain active for 30 days. The production release will be available on April 26th, 2006. If you are a registered Slingbox owner prior to April 26th, the final version of the mobile client will be given to you free of charge. Anyone who purchases or registers their Slingbox after April 26th will be charged a one-time fee of $29.99 for the mobile client, with no additional recurring monthly fees.

System (PC) Requirements:- Windows XP (SP2) Home/Pro/MCE/Win 2K (SP4)
- ActiveSync
- ActiveSync 3.8 for Windows Mobile 2003SE devices
- ActiveSync 4.1 for Windows Mobile 5.0 devices
- SlingPlayer 1.0.5.140 (or later) installed
- Slingbox firmware 1.0.61 (or later)
- Operating system (one of):
- Pocket PC 2003 Second Edition
- Pocket PC for Phone 2003 Second Edition
- Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC and Pocket PC Phone
- 144 MHz (or higher) CPU
- Memory:
- At least 4 MB to install SlingPlayer Mobile.
- At least 7MB of available Program Memory to run it.
- On PC (for Windows based installation) the minimum disk spacerequired is around 2 MB)
- Network throughput of 112Kb (or higher)
- Note that this is required for streaming, not for installtion
- At least 16 gray levels display but 65,536 color is recommended
- Audio support plus speakers or headphones. Stereo support recommended
