1) SlingRemote Updates

• Better support for A/V devices (Telewest TVDrive, Sony DVD Players, DISH HD DVRs and others)
• Added fresh support for numerous devices including Viasat and IO-DATA A/V devices, MCE, Viasat, Pansat 2500, Sony RDRGX300
• Remote controls display and scroll more smoothly (more of the remote displays even when your window is smaller)
• Remote controls can now be positioned off screen
• We’ve added transparencies to all remote controls to give them a better appearance with all skin backgrounds.

2) UMPC Support

• If you’re watching the SlingPlayer in full screen mode on a lower resolution screen SlingPlayer detects and displays more of the remote control than usual with a slightly different layout. Just one example of the new UMPC support we built.

3) Favorites

• Now you can create multiple favorites bars which can be renamed, delete or add new ones at any time.
• In addition, we've made it very simple to share through importing and exporting any favorite bar.
• Also, you can now add remote control command buttons to any favorites bar in additional to channel buttons.
• SlingPlayer supports Drag & drop to reorder the buttons on any bar
• Finally, SlingPlayer supports channel numbers beginning with zero and channels of any length.

4) Skins

• Now you can change the look & feel of SlingPlayer by selecting from multiple pre-installed skins.
• You can add, remove & apply a new skin
• We’ve made Smoked Glass the cool new default skin
• Gamer's Delight and Silver plus others are available on Sling Central
• New software architecture allows anyone to create SlingPlayer skins. See Sling Central for more details.

5) High Quality Streaming

• When watching your Slingbox at home High Quality mode is available (not when remote)
• Doubled resolution
• New maximum bitrate is up to 2Mbps!

6) Widescreen Mode

• Easily toggle between displaying video in 16:9(widescreen) and 4:3(fullscreen)

7) Internationalization

• Support for multiple countries and languages.

8) Left/Right stereo control

• SlingPlayer outputs audio in the following modes: Stereo, Mono, Left channel and Right channel.
• This is especially useful for bilingual broadcasts (in certain countries)

9) Internal TV Tuner Channel Lineup

• You can fine-tune the frequency of analog channels (if the reception needs slight adjustments)
• You can include/exclude specific channels from your lineup

10) Sling Central

• Sling Central showcases user creations such as skins and favorites groups, and includes step-by-step tutorials to contributing.
• Browse for showcased customizations - skins and favorites groups

11) Miscellaneous:

• The Shift key is no longer differentiated when used for shortcut keys. For example: = and + are identical to SlingPlayer.
• You can now manually specifically set the stream resolution by setting the option in the encoding tab. It’s especially useful if you want to force high or low resolutions on connections that are restricted or very fast.
• We added a cool new icon that is more lively and eye-catching than the previous one.
• All streams are now encrypted between the Slingbox and SlingPlayer
