SlingPlayer for Mac Public Beta Review (Page 5 of 9)
Player Menu
In the Player menu the options are to "Connect to Slingbox", which brings up the Slingbox directory. There you can also set the audio parameters (Stereo, left, right and mono).

The View Menu lets you choose to view the Remote Control (also Command-R shows it), set window mode (windowed, full screen, dock left, dock right, etc), adjust video size, and choose whether or not you want statistics shown.
The Video Size menu allows you to set the following settings: Full Screen (4:3), Widescreen (16:9), Letterbox, Pillarbox and Windowbox. Full Screen will display all of a 4:3 screen, Widescreen (16:9) will display a 16:9 aspect ratio of the input. This will best be used when capturing HD content using the HD-Connect Dongle on the Slingbox Pro. Letterbox is useful for displaying 16:9 content that has already been downconverted to the 4:3 screen size. The black bars at the top and bottom are cut out. Pillarbox cuts out the black bars on the left and right side when 4:3 content is played on a 16:9 screen. And Window Box will basically fill the current window with as much video as possible.
There are also choices for previous and next video modes, as well as the option to fit the video to the current player window size.

The Video Mode menu allows you to choose the way the video is windowed or displayed on the computer.
