At the 2007 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, SlingCommunity Team Member Ron Repking had the opportunity to catch up with Brian Jaquet of Sling Media to give us a peak at the newly announced Clip+Sling. Soon, Slingbox owners everywhere will have the ability to grab clips of their favorite programming directly through the SlingPlayer interface and share them with friends, family, and the entire world.

Clip+Sling works by sending the video clips you create to a central web location where users from all around the world can view your favorite TV moments, though you do have the ability to mark clips as private if you only want to share it with people you know.

After uploading, the clip page adds in tons of community like features, like the ability to rate clips, post comments, e-mail it to a friend, and mark clips as favorite. You'll also see the source of the clip, in this case CBS (given the partnership announcement), including options to view the full program for a small fee, or see when the program will be airing next.
