SlingPlayer Mobile for BlackBerry Video Demonstration - 2008 International CES

What is this BlackBerry thing? Apparently, it's something more than a popular type of preserves for your morning toast... some kind of phone? Anyone ever heard of this?
All kidding aside, Sling Media is hard at work on their latest version of SlingPlayer Mobile, bringing TV and streaming video to a BlackBerry near you. The software has already been confirmed for the 8100 and 8200 series, and more may be announced as we get closer to availability. Want to take a sneak peak at SlingPlayer Mobile on a BlackBerry? As you watch, check out the unique interface that takes advantage of the trackball style control on the Pearl. It's really different from all the other versions of SlingPlayer Mobile.

I wonder if AT&T's "Edge" has enough bandwidth to stream full-screen to the Curve. I'm thinkin' no. That makes me a sad panda.

I hope this will be available for the Curve (8830). It is one reason I upgraded to that model.

Any updates? We're 2 months from 2009 and I can't find any info on a beta or a formal release for Blackberry.

I am getting the "storm" when it hits and won't probably need this until next football season. I think my timing is right for a change!

So when is sling mobile going to be released for Blacberry Im dying I cant take it any more. Sling needs to launch the mobile player ASAP I was hoping it would be out by this football season, guess I was wrong.

I heard they are close to launching the beta testing for the Blackberry. I signed up, but have not heardanything yet.

We're all waiting. Why the quasi-announcement almost a year ago with no further updates? What's the hangup?? Will it run on the 8830? Will it run on the Storm? LET US KNOW WHAT'S HAPPENING!!

I got my Blackberry Storm first thing this morning.
Vicky can you please give us an update on when the SlingPlayer Mobile for BB is going to be launched. I have been checking the posts daily just to see when we will be able to download it and what BB's are comparable.

I have the storm, by Verizon.. I was wondering when they will make the blackberry mobile compatible to Verizon blackberry phones?
