SlingPlayer Mobile for BlackBerry Video Demonstration - 2008 International CES
Categories: News, Rumors and Gossip Slingbox SlingPlayer Mobile Mobile Phones / Portable Devices
What is this BlackBerry thing? Apparently, it's something more than a popular type of preserves for your morning toast... some kind of phone? Anyone ever heard of this?
All kidding aside, Sling Media is hard at work on their latest version of SlingPlayer Mobile, bringing TV and streaming video to a BlackBerry near you. The software has already been confirmed for the 8100 and 8200 series, and more may be announced as we get closer to availability. Want to take a sneak peak at SlingPlayer Mobile on a BlackBerry? Click below, and Vicky Shum, Sling Media's Product Manager for SlingPlayer Mobile, will give you the full tour.
As you watch, check out the unique interface that takes advantage of the trackball style control on the Pearl. It's really different from all the other versions of SlingPlayer Mobile.

I wonder if AT&T's "Edge" has enough bandwidth to stream full-screen to the Curve. I'm thinkin' no. That makes me a sad panda.
Add me to the beta test list! I would like to try it on the Blackberry 8830.
I hope this will be available for the Curve (8830). It is one reason I upgraded to that model.
