What is the current version of the Slingbox Tuner firmware?

As of 2/12/2008, the most up to date official Slingbox Tuner firmware is version 1.0.10 for US. If you need to upgrade, this firmware is included in the latest build of the SlingPlayer software for your Slingbox, which is available here.

Why am I only getting one channel of audio?

Make sure your computer is set to output sound to both the left and the right speakers, and that the stereo option in the SlingPlayer is activated.

Does the Slingbox Tuner control external devices?

No. The Slingbox Tuner cannot control external devices such as DVRs, DVD Players, or set top boxes.

What do the lights on the Slingbox Tuner mean?

The far right LEDs indicate network and power status. The center LED indicates if the Slingbox is streaming video.

What video signals can I input into the Slingbox Tuner?

The Slingbox Tuner can accept NTSC terrestrical broadcast or analog cable signals through the RF connection.

How do I factory reset my Slingbox Tuner?

Press the reset button on the back of the Slingbox for five seconds. The reboot process will take 30 seconds to 1 minute. Doing so may reset the Slingbox to an earlier firmware version, so you may need to reinstall any upgrades.

How do I update the Slingbox Tuner's firmware?

While on your home network, select "Edit Properties" in the Slingbox directory. Click the "Slingbox Configuration" tab, and select "Update Slingbox Firmware" at the bottom. Follow the on-screen directions.

What is the maximum streaming resolution of the Slingbox Tuner?

The Slingbox Tuner is capable of streaming video to a PC at a maximum resolution of 640x480.

How much does the Slingbox Tuner cost?

The Slingbox Tuner has been discontinued in the United States.

How will the analog to digital transition in the United States affect my Slingbox Tuner?

US residents who rely on terrestrial (over-the-air) broadcast television will no longer be able to receive television stations on February 17, 2009 with their Slingbox Tuner. The Slingbox Tuner cannot be connected to an external device.

Those who rely on cable service for TV delivery will need to contact their cable provider to find out if the DTV transition will affect them.
