What is the current version of the Slingbox SOLO firmware?
As of 2/12/2008, the most up to date official Slingbox firmware is version 1.0.13 for US. If you need to upgrade, this firmware is included in the latest build of the SlingPlayer software for your Slingbox, which is available here.
How do I setup the Slingbox SOLO?

Can I use a different IR control cable than what's packaged?
Yes, you can use a different IR control cable with the Slingbox. You may need to purchase a 1/8" to 3/32" adapter to fit in the IR port on the Slingbox.
Why am I only getting one channel of audio?
Check audio input cables on the back of the Slingbox, and make sure your computer is set to output sound to both the left and the right speakers.
Does the Slingbox SOLO work with high definition sources?
Yes, the Slingbox SOLO is capable of receiving 480p, 720p, or 1080i sources through the component video input. Some HD devices will not simultaneously output high definition signals and 480i signals to the composite, S-video, or RF connection. Consult your device manual for instructions specific to your device.
What do the lights on the Slingbox SOLO mean?
The far right LEDs indicate network and power status. The center LED indicates if the Slingbox is streaming video.
What video signals can I input into the Slingbox SOLO?
The Slingbox SOLO can accept NTSC 480i signals through composite, S-Video, and RF connections, and 480i, 480p, 720p, and 1080i formats through the component video connection.
Why is the Slingbox SOLO not controlling my device?
Make sure that the IR cable is plugged all the way in to the IR port on the back of the Slingbox PRO. If so, check your control setup in the SlingPlayer software.
How do I factory reset my Slingbox SOLO?
Press the reset button on the back of the Slingbox for five seconds. The reboot process will take 30 seconds to 1 minute. Doing so may reset the Slingbox to an earlier firmware version, so you may need to reinstall any upgrades.
How do I update the Slingbox's SOLO firmware?
While on your home network, select "Edit Properties" in the Slingbox directory. Click the "Slingbox Configuration" tab, and select "Update Slingbox Firmware" at the bottom. Follow the on-screen directions.
How much does the Slingbox SOLO cost?
The Slingbox SOLO's suggested retail price is $179.
How will the analog to digital transition in the United States affect my Slingbox SOLO?
The Slingbox SOLO does not include a built-in tuner for analog or digital TV stations and is therefore unaffected by the digital TV transition. However, if you rely on a seperate device for receiving over the air television signals, that device may need to be replaced to continue using Slingbox SOLO.
