Why can't I install the SlingPlayer software?
Installing the SlingPlayer software may require administrator rights on the computer. Either log in as an administrator, or contact the administrator for the computer you're using.
What versions of OS X is SlingPlayer for Mac compatible with?
SlingPlayer for Mac software is currently compatible with OS X versions 10.3, 10.4, and 10.5.
How do I adjust the Slingbox audio/video?
Select "Slingbox" at the top of the Slingplayer, then select "Properties" from the drop down list. Under the "Slingbox Configuration" tab, click the change button in the Audio/Video setup box.
Can I still connect to my Slingbox if I've lost or forgotten my Finder ID?
If you are on the same network, SlingPlayer will automatically discover the Finder ID and can connect. If you are outside the network, you can try connecting with your IP and port number. Read "How To Find Your Slingbox Remotely" to learn more.
Can I use the SlingPlayer behind a firewall?
Mostly yes. You may need to setup the SlingPlayer to use direct IP address handling or find a port that is not blocked by the firewall. Visit the Sling Media Support area or the SlingCommunity Forums for more on this.
Can I view the video full screen?
Maximize the SlingPlayer Window and enable the "Fit to Player" option.
Can I use a dynamic DNS service with a Slingbox?
Yes, it is possible to connect using a dynamic DNS. Read "How To Find Your Slingbox Remotely" to learn more.
What is "control mode" for?
Read "Explaining Control Mode".
How do I improve the picture quality?
Though there can be many reasons why the picture could be poor, the most common fixes are to increase your upstream bandwidth from your home, or connect from a different area or hotspot. Some users have reported manually adjusting the encoding bitrate can also yield improved results.
What can I do if I forgot my administrator password?
See "How do I factory reset my Slingbox?"
What can I do if I forgot my guest password?
Read "Setting/Changing the password of your Slingbox" for instructions.
Why am I suddenly seeing strange artifacts in the video?
Slingbox Classic models with serial numbers 50600000 through 50700801 have a defect. Call Sling Media at 1-877-GO-SLING for resolution.
How many computers may I install the SlingPlayer Software on?
SlingPlayer for Mac can be installed on as many computers as you like, free of charge.
How do I stream in HD from my Slingbox PRO-HD?
Slingplayer for Mac OS X does not currently support high definition streaming from the Slingbox PRO-HD. OS X users who wish to stream HD from a PRO HD can do so using the Mac web player located at http://www.sling.com/live_tv

Since iPhone/slingmedia has already been developed, I can only assume the hold up is the business aspect between Apple & Slingmedia. I've been a Slingmedia customer for years now with nothing but the highest regards for their products. Now I have two Slingbox units that sit idle since I moved from my Dell PDA to the iPhone. I don't see how this could be helping either company advance the promtion of their product. I sincerely hope both companies focus more on consumers desires or else, as a previous poster mentioned, "there are other ambitious entrepaneurs out there who are waiting to develope technologies similiar tho these".

the "LOGMEIN" iphone app looks like real time remote viewing, without SAFARI ... figure it out sling!!!

I am in the USA and I can not view my sling box when I am using Verizon broadband but it works when I use Brighthouse cable
Can anyone help?
