How To Contribute Your Remote File to Sling Community
If you have created or tested a remote bin file for your Slingbox, you can help others by sharing it with the SlingCommunity and make it easy for others to find and enjoy what you have created.
Other folks like you have worked hard to create these, so why not share yours?
In a few simple steps, you can present your work to the largest populations of Slingbox owners.
To submit your remote file for download on the SlingCommunity pages:
Step 1: Create your free SlingCommunity user account
To submit your remote file, you'll need to create a free Slingcommunity user account. Setting up your account only takes a minute.
Step 2: Visit the Control Junkies group and submit your add-in
Once you've verified and activated your free community account, log in and go to the Control Junkies Group. Click the "Join this Group" link.
Step 3: Compress your remote file into a ZIP file.
You cannot upload a raw BIN file to the community. You will need to compres it into a ZIP file. If you are not sure how to do this read the information here.
Step 4: Create and upload new remote file.
In the Groups tab you'll see a link to "Create New Download."

In the form that's presented to you, you'll see three fields:

File: Click the "browse" button to navigate to the .zip for your add-in.
Display Name: Type in the name of your remote file.
Description: Please add a description for your remote file. Be as detailed as you want. The more detailed the more it will help others.
When you're all set, hit the submit button in the bottom left hand corner.
Once your finished the new file will be submitted for inclusion for others to download in the Control Junkies Group. Before it becomes publically available it will be checked for compression accuracy and any viruses. It will not be checked for abilites. Once the file has been deemed approriate, it will be made public.
