I dont see the point of this... unless you are in the US... the only thing that works is the webclient... big deal!!
Plus... if you live in the US and travel, i.e. placeshift to another country... it is also pointless!
Still... it looks pretty!!
Sling.com Sneak Preview
It's been a little over a month since Sling Media opened the doors for beta testers try out Sling.com, the long-awaited online entertainment portal and hub for TV and video. While the beta continues, many are excited to get a glimpse at what Sling.com has in store for Slingers (and even non-Slingers) when the live switch is thrown on November 24th.
So what the heck is Sling.com, anyway?
The best way I could describe Sling.com (at least right now) is a cross between Hulu and SlingPlayer with a little bit of social networking sprinkled in. The Sling.com homepage wastes no time, displaying an endless amount of popular shows and clips to watch.
You can browse for video content via channel, like NBC or FOX, or category. Within each channel or category, you'll find a wide variety of video clips, full TV episodes, and even movies to choose from.
You can tell a lot of work has been put into securing agreements with content providers, as many shows have special attractive pages with artwork and cast photos.

SlingPlayer for Web
If you can't find any videos or clips to watch, why not watch your own live TV? One of the more exciting and unique features in Sling.com is the ability to watch and control a Slingbox right from within the web browser. I can't say much about it now except that it has many of the features you'd expect in a SlingPlayer client, like a full screen mode, remote control, and even your channel guide.
Everything on Sling.com is driven by Sling Accounts, which makes it easy to use your Slingbox on any computer, like a public computer or friend's PC.
Unless things change by launch day, don't expect the SlingPlayer for Web application to be Mac friendly off the bat, but Sling has indicated Mac support shouldn't be too far behind.
But wait... there's more!
For a beta site there's a pretty hefty assortment of current TV hits and timeless classics, but Sling has said more content will be available as it gets closer to going live. They've got a posse of industry giants behind them to help make that happen, including CBS, Sony Pictures, HULU (NBC, FOX and their cable nets), Warner Bros, MGM, Comcast Nets (E!, G4, Style, etc), Discovery, A&E, Biography, History Channel, Lifetime, Bloomberg, Ovation, STARZ, Marvel, TV One, AC’s College Humor, and sports conferences like NHL, Arena Football and the PAC-10, and magazine brands like Hachette, Mojo, Golf Channel, TVG, TV Guide, Fearnet, PBS… to 60Frames and Comedy Time.
There are plenty of other surprises to be found, but we'll save those for you to discover on your own when the doors open on November 24th.
Stay tuned to the Sling Community for full coverage on the launch of Sling.com and SlingPlayer for Web, as well as to discuss Sling.com in the community forums.

Ha, that's a joke. Mac support is always far behind in slingmedia land. Just look how long i took for the slingplayer for mac to be released (and still no 2.0) also there is no support on the SlingCatcher either (no media projector or support of hard drives formated by a mac). I hope slingmedia picks up the pace on their Mac support. I feel left out as a early adopter of their products!
Great idea, well done Sling....you can watch your own slingbox on any computer now,no need to load software from disc.plus loads of other channels aswell !!!
But come on Dish Network and EchoStar, lets have some of them over here in the uk !
SlingBox Classic ( Sky+UK )+ SlingCatcher
I dont know why they waste there energy in all this **** stuff..
I am shouting from last several months provide IR code for my Dreambox no one cares to provide thats small support all the Color buttons on a Dreambox are Disabled I dont know why Sling team is so slow.
After using sling.com for a few weeks I really dig it. One feature that would make sling.com awesome would be Slingcatcher integration. This is so obvious I'm surprised it didn't happen at launch. Using Slingcatcher for a front end for sling.com would help slingmedia compete with devices such as the Roku netflix player. Has anyone heard if this feature will be added to the Slingcatcher in a future update?
I tried to access some shows here in France and I got an error message. Has anyone recevied similar responses?
Yes,the programs/shows can only be shown in the US
