SlingPlayer Mobile for Blackberry was released to the public in beta form back in December, but Sling Media was showing it off full force at CES, both in their booth and RIM's. For those who are new to the community, or missed the news about SlingPlayer Mobile for Blackberry, Sling Media's MegaZone (yes, that's his real name) was on hand to give the SlingCommunity some insight, updates, and a quick tour of their killer Blackberry app.

Not knowing anyone with a BlackBerry (I know, weird huh?), I really hadn't gotten much hands on time with the Blackberry SlingPlayer client until CES. Running on the Blackberry Bold, I found the image quality excellent and the controls fairly intuitive... which was surprising since I didn't think the trackball would be the greatest way to use SlingPlayer. 

Hopefully RIM and SlingMedia will get the platform issues keeping the BlackBerry SlingPlayer out of the hands of Sprint, Verizon, and other CDMA network customers.
