Find Out Why the Gang From GLEE Looks So Glum

Posted to blog theTVaddict on SlingCommunity on November 13, 2009 8:54 AM

Wondering why the gang from New Directions looks a little less than gleeful today? Well, if we were to hazard a guess, it might have a little something to do with the realization that their competition on GLEE’s upcoming November 25 episode entitled “Hairography” includes a few ringers in the form of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE contestants Katee Shean, Kherington Payne, and Comfort Fedoke. But hey, don’t take our word for it, judge for yourself by checking out some more first look photos after the jump. More »

First Look: CAPRICA Teaser Poster

Posted to blog theTVaddict on SlingCommunity on November 12, 2009 9:36 PM

In what we imagine will do absolute wonders for the Syfy Network, which has recently come under fire as a result of some harsh (albeit deserved) criticism directed at what some have called STARGATE UNIVERSE’s penchant for exploiting its female cast members, comes this eye-popping teaser poster for the network’s upcoming BATTLESTAR GALACTICA prequel CAPRICA . More details of which can be found over on Maureen Ryan’s Watcher site . More »

Behind the Scenes of THE OFFICE

Posted to blog theTVaddict on SlingCommunity on November 12, 2009 12:45 PM

“Dunder Mifflin, this is the TV Addict. How may I direct your call?” Since theTVaddict.com is not quite at the level of say an Entertainment Weekly, we weren’t exactly in a position to give the stars of THE OFFICE a camera and have them “Go Crazy!” Which is why we hope you’ll enjoy some quick shots that we were able to snag with our trusty iPhone on our summer set visit to Dunder Mifflin. Enjoy Can you guess whose desk this is? (Hint: Bottom right) Taped to the back of the set, OFFICE staffers clearly aren’t playing around when it comes to security. Our tour guide! Unless we missed an episode, we’re not quite sure who that baby belongs to. Just how much do we think Cisco payed for this doozy of a product placement? A photo of a photo. Could we be anymore meta? Good News, Bad News: DOLLHOUSE, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER & NBC

Posted to blog theTVaddict on SlingCommunity on November 11, 2009 5:00 PM

Good News: Plans for the sequel to DR. HORRIBLE’s SING-A-LONG BLOG may have just kicked into high gear. Bad News: With FOX officially cancelling DOLLHOUSE after it finishes airing its initial 13-episode order in January. [Source] Good News: Lindsay Price has officially removed herself from ‘Mother’ contention. Bad News: After breaking up (in real-life) with HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER’s Josh Radnor over what sources are calling ‘lifestyle’ differences. [Source] Good News: Execs at ABC, CBS, CW and FOX can rest easy. Bad News: For NBC, who according to Silicon Valley Insider will (inexplicably) keep Jeff Zucker at the helm following Comcast’s deal to purchase 51% of NBC Universal from General Electric. Watch out Parents Television Council (PTC), from the looks of it, GOSSIP GIRL’s Dan, Olivia and Vanessa were just the beginning. For starting this January, the CW has pledged to air all-original episodes of three, count ‘em three series on Monday nights. With GOSSIP GIRL, ONE TREE HILL and the highly-anticipated new drama LIFE UNEXPECTED rotating on and off the CW’s Monday night sked thru May 2010. The network’s new drama series, LIFE UNEXPECTED, will premiere Monday, January 18 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET), following the return of original episodes of ONE TREE HILL that night in the 8:00-9:00 p.m. timeslot.  On March 8, LIFE UNEXPECTED will move to the 8:00-9:00 p.m. timeslot, followed... Today's TV Addict Top 5: Things That Make Us Go "Hmmmm..."

Posted to blog theTVaddict on SlingCommunity on November 11, 2009 12:05 PM

January Jones Hosting SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE January Jones stepping into 30 Rock’s hallowed Studio 8H to host SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE this weekend is all well and good. But the thing that makes us go “Hmmmm,” well, aside from the fact that we have a feeling at around 11:35PM google will find itself inundated with the question “Who is January Jones?” — is the timing of Jones’ hosting gig. After-all, nothing says lets hype Sunday’s phenomenal MAD MEN season finale like hosting SNL… the following Saturday. Oops. 90210’s Shenae Grimes What started out as an interesting way to handle a poorly conceived character that never really connected with viewers continues to get well less so, after yet another week went by with Shenae Grimes’ Annie Wilson on the outside looking in. Seriously, we can’t recall the last time (if ever) a character that started out the series front-and-center was pushed so far... More »

We Grill Head "V" Morena Baccarin

Posted to blog theTVaddict on SlingCommunity on November 10, 2009 1:58 PM

To borrow a phrase made popular by the ubiquitous Kathy Griffin, “Chad Decker can suck it.” For unlike the now-infamous reporter who last week 13 million of you watched trade in his journalistic integrity for a once-in-a-lifetime exclusive one-on-one with head Visitor Anna, this TV Addict doesn’t believe in compromise. As you’ll see in our own no-holds-barred interview with her portrayer Morena Baccarin, who was kind enough to take some time to answer some pressing (and a few not-so-pressing) questions about what us lowly humans can expect in the coming weeks on ABC’s smash sci-fi hit V. Bluntly, is Anna a “good” V or a “bad” V? Morena Baccarin: Maybe she’s a little bit of both, I suppose it depends on who you ask. Do you, as the actress playing her, have a definitive answer to that question? I sort of know the answer but to be honest I feel... More »

Is America Running Out of D-List Stars?

Posted to blog theTVaddict on SlingCommunity on November 10, 2009 10:16 AM

Finally, an employment crisis this TV Addict can get behind. Yes, ABC has put the brakes on the upcoming debut of LET’S DANCE , a reality show that was to be hosted by original D-Lister Kathy Griffin and was to feature “Celebrities” re-creating famous dance routines. According to the Live Feed , “Sources say the network had difficulty casting the series.” And while we’re slightly disappointed over the fact that Kathy Griffin — whose penchant for shamelessly plugging her book in between putting celebrities in their place never seems to grow old — will be out of a job. We’re not gonna lie, there is something oddly satisfying with regards to the idea that the American job market for once-famous-has-beens might be drying up. Even if it’s only a teensy little bit. Good News, Bad News: LIFE UNEXPECTED, FRINGE & EASTWICK

Posted to blog theTVaddict on SlingCommunity on November 9, 2009 8:30 PM

Good News: The CW has awarded their highly-anticipated new drama (and personal favorite) LIFE UNEXPECTED with GOSSIP GIRL’s valuable Monday night timeslot starting January 18. Bad News: With a great timeslot comes great [ratings] expectations. [Source] Good News: In an exclusive interview with Michael Ausiello , J.J. Abrams promises that FOX has been insanely supportive of FRINGE despite the show’s lackluster ratings. Bad News: “Insanely supportive” does not include moving FRINGE out of the most competitive timeslot in television. [Source] Good News: This just in, ABC has freed up some desperately needed space on our PVR/DVR. Bad News: After confirming their decision to not pick-up EASTWICK for a back-nine, essentially canceling the first-year series. [Source] More »

Attention Mark and Lexie Fans: Meet "The Obstacle"

Posted to blog theTVaddict on SlingCommunity on November 9, 2009 6:00 PM

What theTVaddict.com may lack for in the scoop department, we try our best to make up for with actual photographic evidence. For instance, remember earlier in the day when super-scooper Michael Ausiello broke the news that upcoming GREY’S ANATOMY guest star Leven Rambin (TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES) represents what showrunner Shonda Rhimes calls a “new obstacle” for Mark and Lexie. Well, we just so happen to have obtained the next best thing to, you know… actual pertinent information: A first look photo of a smokin’ Leven Rambin — and as an added bonus after the jump — one very dour looking Mark Sloane from the upcoming November 17th episode entitled “Holidaze.” More »
