My suspision is that certain folks are hoping that all you folks out there are TOO STUPID to realize that you HAVE BEEN LIED TO! ?Lied to How?: It has been demonstrated, and we have been told the iphone version of slingplayer will and does work the older slingbox hardware.
Also, by pulling the plug AT THE LAST POSSIBLE SECOND, they keep the prices of their OLDER PRODUCTS HIGHER FOR A LONGER PERIOD! Allowing certain folks to cash in as the older hardware gets dumped!
DON'T DESPARE, YOUR OLD HARDWARE IS NOW ONLY WORTH $50.00 AND YOU CAN UPGRADE! (Ain't we nice)
If we are stupid enough to go for it, I can't say I blame em! It's a good way to drive up sales!
For me: An orb server (www.orb.com) with a tuner card is lookin mighty good to me right about now.
