Make your mark on SlingPlayer Mobile - speak up!

We've started a thread in the forums for users to give us feedback on what they'd like to see in the next generation of SlingPlayer Mobile.  So head on over and give us your feedback on SPM - please comment there, and not on this post so we can keep track of all the responses in one place.  Thanks!

slingplayer moblie for the blackberry line of phones is a requirement. for those of use who use our slingboxes regularly, this is a long time overdue

iPhone. Please, Slingbox is one of the reasons I got an iPhone! :-)

I want Slingplayer for my new G1 Android phone!

I use everyday on my Samsung Blacjack II with Windows Mobile 6.0 and works perfect.
For future versions should be interesting a feature "Only audio" similar as in Desktop Sling Player 2.0
When I driving and want to hear news or a sports game I don't need the video and saves a battery as well (most important)

iphone please

iPhone for sure. Also...please be sure to keep, or even refine
the channel bookmarks. That makes operation in a mobile environment
very easy. Generally, I'm very happy with the existing software
on my Treo 700. Good Work.

The ipod touch would be nice. This is why I purchased one.

will the slingbox at any time adapt an ir learning mode for unknown devices?
maybe like I hate to say it the Hava products. and as far as the sling moblie it would be cool to have a mini guide maybe only showing the guide from your favorite channel list. but the ir learning by far in my opinion is the must
important thing its the only thing stopping me from buying more for your products as cool as i think they are.

Adding Slingbox Mobile for the Nokia Internet Tablets would be another very useful platform to support. Thanks!

iPhone please! I bought an iPhone with Slingbox in mind.

Provide an option to stretch the video picture to the full screen size of the phone; I use an AT&T Treo 750 and the picture does not stretch to the full size of the screen even when you don't display the menu at the bottom.

A perfect pairing would be the SPM and the Archos 5 internet tablet - the idea of travelling with my archos and having access to my slingbox would make my life so much easier.

Custom remote support ! ! ! Custom remote support ! ! ! Custom remote support ! ! ! Custom remote support ! ! ! Custom remote support ! ! ! Custom remote support ! ! ! Custom remote support ! ! !

I have a popcorn hour (pch100).. I want to control it from my Palm SPM. I also don't want to go through all the gyrations I did to get the Mediagate to work on the slingplayer desktop.. so make it simple!! Like dmac said above, an IR learning module for the PC? Or better yet.. my Centro has in IR reciever.. give me a feature or separate Palm app that let's me learn it directly to the phone. nahh.. cuz I stil want that remote profile to be available on the desktop player too.. so let's go with a PC solution that the SPM can still use too.

Never minb new Sling products for this, that and the next thing!  All I want is my Slingbox in the UK to work reliably for 24 hours without requiring it to be re-set so that I can watch it in Spain.  It is a right 'pain in the *you know where*!  I do not buy products from manufactuers who fail to provide customer support, just like "Unclegeek" says.  It's high time "Uncle Sam" learnt.....No support....No sale. OK?

Android... with the open platform, there could be so many opportunities for the slingmedia player... Anroid is more for nerds... iphone is for show. Do silicon valley right and make the player for the Android first.

Realize that the Treo's screen is square and TV is 4:3 or 16:9, so filling the screen would mean distorting the image.  We fill the screen side to side, and the vertical display is determined by the ratio.  Stretching 4:3 to fill would mean making everything 33% taller than it should be, and doing the same with 16:9 would make everything *78%* taller than it should be, almost twice as tall.  It really wouldn't look very good.

And a general comment - we appreciate the enthusiasm, but as we said in the first post of the thread, BlackBerry and iPhone clients are coming.  So there is no need to ask for them.  Similarly additional models for other platforms, like Symbian S60, will be added in future updates.

EDIT: Whoops, I just realized this isn't 'the thread', replying to too many things at once.  Note that the product team is monitoring responses to the thread, but not monitoring responses to this post.  So I encourage you to share your feedback over there, and not here.  We're trying to keep it all in one place so the product team is sure to see it all.
