Make your mark on SlingPlayer Mobile - speak up!

We've started a thread in the forums for users to give us feedback on what they'd like to see in the next generation of SlingPlayer Mobile.  So head on over and give us your feedback on SPM - please comment there, and not on this post so we can keep track of all the responses in one place.  Thanks!

I hate companies that don't use open standards and hide everything they do. If they cared about their customers at all this client software thing wouldn't be a problem because it would be working already using some open streaming technology/player. Instead of being open they hoax there customers in with vaporware.

do you know when you are going to release more phones on the beta blackberry?? iphone would be great if att had a descent internet speed.

We already officially support all of the modern BlackBerrys that we can - the 8120, 8220, 8320, 8820, 8900, and 9000. And unofficially the 8100, 8110, 8300, 8310, 8800, and 8810 work if the EDGE connection is good enough. We won't be supporting any older generation models (8700, etc).

That leaves the CDMA 8130, 8330, and 8830, and the newer Storm 9500/9530.

The three CDMA xx30 models have a shared platform issue that currently prevents SPM from being used. SPM will install and run, but when you start streaming data the OS resets the phone. RIM is working on this issue. If and when they resolve it and issue updated firmware, we'll be able to support those phones and we will.

The Storm is a combination of things. There are some firmware issues that make streaming in SPM not as stable but those are being fixed and we're just waiting for newer firmware. Once that's resolved we'll be able to finish work to support the touch screen UI. So this is on our roadmap.

mega,
im not seeing the nextel 8350i on this list. it currently meets all of the requirements, but still no go...any advice ??

It came out too late for us to fully test it so we didn't feel confident enough to include it. But if you get the software on the phone it should work. The same methods Storm users have been using will work.

Same tricks the Storm folks are using - see the forums.

Please release the Application SlingPlayer Mobile for not just the iPhone, but for the iPod Touch too! I don't own an iPhone (nor do my friends). But many of us have the iPod Touch. Thank you VERY much!
