Welcome to Channel Beta, a place to get pertinent Beta Program updates, directly from the Beta Team!
There are a number of existing forum threads explaining the situation so I don't want to do it again. It is outside of Sling's control.

I just bought the full version of the sling for blackberry & i have installed the download now it is asking me to add slingboxes to your sling account using slingplayer 2.0/ windows. I am a MAC user. please advise.
It is only a public beta so I wouldn't advise anyone to buy a license key for it until it is officially released.
Right now there is no solution for Mac OS users, the only way to manage the Slingbox information in Sling Accounts is with SP2.0 on Windows. The equivalent for Mac OS is still in development as is a web-based management interface. We expect to have at least one of those out before SPM BB is an official release so there will be a way to manage the information.
Users without access to SP2.0 for Windows can still use SPM BB, but they shouldn't log into Sling Accounts. Rather they can manually enter the Slingbox information locally into SPM BB.
Actually, I think the web-based SlingPlayer that is part of Sling.com may also allow you to add Slingboxes and passwords - but that's currently Windows-only as well.

I'm on the T-Mobile Curve (on wifi) when I logged in with my sling.com account the SPM BB app found my local Slingbox but I received an error message.
The error message is:
Password is not set for this slingbox. Please use slingplayer 2.0/windows to set password
This is on my blackberry bold
MAWA123 said: Password is not set for this slingbox. Please use slingplayer 2.0/windows to set passwordFairly self-explanatory. If you log into Sling Accounts from SPM BB it needs to have the Finder ID and Passwords set for the Slingbox(es) in the account, and the only way to do that currently is via SlingPlayer for Windows 2.0. If you don't have access to Windows you can still use SPM BB by not logging into Sling Accounts and instead entering the SB info into SPM manually.

"SlingPlayer cannot connect to your Slingbox. Please check the internet connection on your phone an try again."
I know the internet is working because 10mins ago I downloaded the SMP BB app on the device.

How were you trying to connect with SPM? Is it set for WiFi or Mobile? Also, if you have T-Mobile UMA connected SPM cannot see WiFi - it shows up to SPM as Mobile. We can't do anything about that, something about how UMA remaps the connections to fake out Mobile services.
When you start SPM can it login to Sling Accounts OK?

The email and password when it starts are for logging into Sling Accounts. When logged it it uses the Slingbox information in your account - but the password needs to be set via SlingPlayer for Windows 2.0. If you have that, then log into the same account from the desktop and make sure the Slingbox(es) are configured with their passwords set, etc, and it'll just work on SPM BB.
If not then open SPM BB and use the Menu button on the BB to open the menu and select 'Log Out'. Then you're logged out of Sling Accounts and can add Slingboxes locally instead.

SlingPlayer for Windows 2.0 goes on your Windows PC. You won't have to change anything on the BlackBerry from what you have now, it'll just start working once the desktop player has configured the account properly.

The T-Mobile UMA feature has been disabled and now I'm just using Wifi. Unfortunately still no luck connecting...same message. The Internet does work, I'm able to use the browser and the Gmail app.
Thanks for your assistance.
