Thanks for fixing the UTV remote! It looks great. But, I noticed two issues:

The MENU button doesn't work
The GUIDE button doesn't work

Both of these can be access via the remote pull down menu.

I'm still rooting for PAGE UP/DOWN control at some point in the future ;) It would help considerably when scrolling through the guide and my shows display.

Thanks Jeremy!

Sherman,

Did you repeat the IR setup steps after downloading 107?

Best,
Jeremy

Yes. In fact, I repeated it just to make certain I didn't mess it up. The keys do not respond.

I am having the same problem, just bought my slingbox today, works great....but...the guide and menu buttons etc, do not work. They pull up the guide or menu on the tv, but not on the remote laptop. I have the Motorola DCT6412. I cannot access my DVR, which is obviously a HUGE concern, please help!

Why when I check about slingplayer does it still give me version # 1.0.4.105?

Thanks!

Andrew

Sherman - if you don't mind, send me an email, I'd like to see if we can't find a good workaround for you.

Nashuaslick - what software version are you using?

Andrew - is it possible you downloaded, but did not install the 107 build?

Best,
Jeremy

Hello, I am using the new 1.0.4.107 player. All is good but I have one request for a bug fix. I play the player on a second LCD screen on my multi-monitor computer. I can go full screen now on monitor #2 and when I click on applications on monitor #1, the slingplayer stays fullscreen on monitor #2 (it didn't on the old version). But now, when it fullscreen on monitor #2, and your using an active application on monitor #1, the toolbar across the top will not disappear even if its set to hide. The only way it will disappear is if the slingplayer is the foreground application. Can this be resolved in a future release? Its the only remaining issue I can identify on my Slingbox.

Jeremy,

I still downloaded 1.0.4.107. It would not write over .105 so I deleted all the software from my computer and reinstalled. The slingbox with the most up to date firmware is still losing the connection even after a brief time. I emailed you all my info in terms of equipment and routers. Any further idea as to how to rectify the situation?

Thanks!

Andrew

Hi all,
I am using 1.0.4.107
I have a DFH Digital Satellite Receiver which is a generic brand (Actually the unit is Satcruiser DSR-101) I couldnt program the IR code for the satellite receiver. this receiver doesnt exist in the IR Code list and i tried every single code under the satellite receivers. I contacted satcruiser for the code they told me that there isnt any universal IR code for this unit, so i have to try manually. which i tried but still cant access the IR from internet.

thanks for your help

I am using 1.0.4.107 according to the Help-About Slingplayer... dialogue.

I can change channels, power on and off, but guide, info don't work. Menu and input are grayed and not clickable.

On the good side, I am watching my Nashua, NH Cable in L.A., CA and it's working great! That's diagonally across the entire country, impressive!

Hi all,

Just updated my SlingPlayer to v 1.04.107 and firmware 1.0.36..It would seem the IR conection isn't as responsive after the update.

I've got my SlingBox connected to a Stand-Alone Tivo (Series 2).

Thanks.

Andrewp, I'm runing the SlingBox through a Netgear Powerline adapter.

Went through the setup process several times... I'm having the same trouble on two PC's.. Didn't have this poblem until I updated the SlingPlayer Software & SlingBox Firmware.

I had a similar problem yesterday ….after installing the new firmware, the channel audio would change but the video became a freeze frame on the prior channel. I re-set the box and it’s working….for now.

I don't know if this is a feature yet, as I have yet to try it, but I would like to see the following:

I plan, to use the slingplayer on various computers, laptop, home, work, parents, friends, etc. Downloading the player is no problem, but I would like to have a fastrack to SETTING UP the player software on the local machine. I don't know if my player UNIQUE ID sends all this information to the slingplayer software on the initial connection, but I would like that to either occur, or be able to SAVE A CONFIG file someone and send it as an email attachement, so that all I have to do when trying to setup a new location, is click on the file, or IMPORT the file and then boom I am good to go.

Is that possible.? (well, we KNOW it is possible, question is is that the way it works somewhere now, or can it be done?)

tivoboy,

This is exactly how the software works today. All you need to have is your Finder ID and password, and your Slingbox configurations will automatically be set.

Jeremy

I just upgraded my Norton Internet Security from 2004 to the new version 2006. Everything worked great until I tried to open my sling player (1.0.4.107) I received a message saying "msxml4 or later msxml parser was needed and told me to go to microsoft.com. I went to microsoft and downloaded the msxml.msi file ran the download and now everything works fine. Norton even automaticaly configured the firewall for sling. I had to do this myself before. But... now for the big question is the xml4 file something that is now needed by Norton or did I screw something up in the sling software when I was donloading the Norton update? I did try and rerun the sling install with no luck. The only thing that fixed it was the microsoft download.

I have the same problem with ultimate tv remote. The workaround i found is the keyboard shortcut for guide and menu work fine. so i just use those.

Another issue i noticed with the remote is the rewind 30 seconds at a time button actually activates PiP not rewind.
