I have an R10 direct tivo that is set to remote 2. Is there a code. I have tried most if not all of the direct tv and dvr codes and none seem to work?

any help woudl be appreciated.

If you set it back to the default unit code, you should be able to use SAT/1377 to control it (as long as you have the PL version of the Slingbox, ie, Blaster version 2.1)

I tried SAT/1377 and its not working. During setup it won't even allow me to test the button underneath the video screen; the button remains "unavailable." I would like to add that my ir version says 3.0. Please help.

What's the first 3 numbers of your serial number? (It should be something like 507, 508, 509, etc)

This is my serial number: 50601454

I would like to add that I have two directivo boxes. A samsumg SIR-S4080R and a Directv R10. If you could help me get either one of them to work with my slingbox, I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi, ashamed to admit but I still don't have a SlingBox. I would like to make sure my setup will work prior to aquiring it.

I have a DirecTV R10 DVR. How will I connect to it during the setup ? Is that done automatically or do I need to provide a code ? looking at what you guys wrote above , is this code clear ?

Thanx guys

The R10 is supported. Just follow the setup steps during installation and you should be able to pick the proper remote. The DirecTV DVR with Tivo selection will work.

I now concur with Carl. I had to return my slingbox and my replacement is now working perfectly.

Thanx Guys. It looks like I will not be ashamed no more. I'm just about to start Slinging on.

Thanx again guys.

Hey Guys,
I posted this in another forum but was not replied. Perhaps you can help with this as well:

Any idea whether SlingPlayer works with Omega Display drivers ? I read in an early forum that it didn't. Is this ok by now ?
Thanx.

Hi,
I see that there are the following IRs supported for DirecTV with Tivo. It's:
DirecTV with Tivo
DirecTV with Tivo ( remote address 1 )
DirecTV with Tivo ( remote address 2 )
DirecTV with Tivo ( remote address 3 )
DirecTV with Tivo ( remote address 4 )

What is the difference between these ?
Thanx.

Tivo DVR's have the ability to have different IR codes from each other, so that you can set two or more up in the same room and not have the remote interfere with each other.

If you have a DirecTV with Tivo and have never changed the IR code for that reason, just use the basic or default one.
