The Moxi is proving to be a problem for the Slingbox. The remote people have been working on this one for quite a while.

I'm having a hard time getting the IR to work on my new Slingbox. I've tried all the ones available but none work. If you have one that works what is it? Also, I'm not sure where the IR reciver is located on the front of the BMC9012.
Thanks in advance.
Any idea of when they will get the IR Code finished for the Moxi box... I'm goin' crazy!
So once I download this software that is on your site, how do I integrate it with the Slingplayer so that it will eventually take over my Moxi DVR? Thanks so much for your help!
Dude that rocks!...
How do I figure out if My SB is JP or PL?
I really appreciate all the work it took to get it working.
Thanks
Yeah, there are instuctions at http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=category&cat_id=87 (thanks to Robman) that allows your to update your Slingbox with the Moxi remote, unfotunately I was very confused on how to get Remote Master to work let alone update it with the moxi remote, I might have to wait until SB comes out with the official update for Moxi through their firmware. Doh! Unless there is someone can help!
Following these instructions:http://www.slingcommunity.com/article/10580
I get the RDF from here http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=2098
and upgrade file from here: http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=1292
When I get to step 10. and try to save the file, nothing happens, no file is saved. I must have missed something but can't figure out what.
I'm sorry but this is like rocket science, I better stick with my day job! I'll have to wait until Sling Media comes out with an official update :(
Actually I was hoping Robmann might be able to give a hand with this. The problem is that when I try to save the file, nothing happens. I posetd the links so that he would know what I've done and therefore understand where I went wrong.
Okay, got it.
Here's the deal. Download the .bin file that Robmann built. Save it into your C:\Program Files\Sling Media\SlingPlayer\SBAV folder with the other .bin files.
Launch your sling player, click on the SlingBox menu, then click properties.
In the My Singbox Properties, click on the Singbox Configuration tab. In the Audio/Video Setup, click on the Change... button.
That will bring up the Singbox Setup Wizard, click next, put in the password and click next.
Select your video input and click next. click next again. In Television Source, select DVR (Digital Video Recorder) and click next.
In Device Brand, select Other (not in the list) and click next.
In Control Code Setup, in the Current Code: box type in C1187 and click next. Click next again after testing. Click Finish and send a thank you to Robmann.
I got it! You da man Vince! So we don't even need to fuss with the Remote Master software? That saves me a lot of time if this is the case! Thanks!
I put this into the motorola list in the PVR section in the config file. But i cant get into the menu with that remote. Is a way i can get into the menu to look at things ive recorded and to record things in the future?
Vince, thanks for hooking everyone up with the instructions. I got my Moxi working in about 5 minutes thanks to you.
Neogeo, were you able to figure out how to get the menu working? I took need to access pre-recorder programs. If you've figured it out can you let me know? Thanks.
Thanks for the information and the work that went into creating the BIN file.
If you follow Vince's instructions then you should be able to get this model of the Motorola DVR to work.
Has anyone on this thread been able to get the Slingbox to control the BMC9012 since the Moxi update in mid 2007?
From what I read on the huge number of threads on this, the answer is no. Moxi support is now completely broken in the latest software
