I have the 2.1 version of the IR Blaster software, and I am definitely in need of an upgrade for my MOXI DVR.
I just purchased the Slingbox before travelling to Europe, and you can imagine how disappointed I was to find out that it would not work with my MOXI DVR.
Hopefully this has been resolved, as there is a limited number of times that I can ask my wife to change the channel for me.

So, if you're in need of an upgrade for it, please let it be known.
Please mention what your version of the IR Blaster software is? (ie, 2.0 or 2.1)
If you don't know your Blaster version, please state the first 3 digits of your serial number (ie, 507, 508 or 509)
I have the 2.1 IR Blaster Version. We are also going on an overseas trip in a few weeks. So thank you for getting the update for this up!
edit:just to make sure, this is for the motorola moxi dvr?
I have created a folder over on my web site where we can load any upgrades that we create, until such time that they become official Sling upgrades.
The URL is...
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=category&cat_id=87
I have just loaded both Moxi files there.
I'm not a IT genius but I do have a Moxi DVR box and know that SlingMedia does not have a IR code written for the Moxi remote. Are you saying that you have the download for that here? Thanks!
The Robman-
So what are the steps on installing the moxi ir remote download that you posted on your site onto the slingplayer software so I can take control of my moxi dvr? I appreciate the help! Thanks!
Here's a link that shows you the normal process of creating and editing upgrades...

However, in this case, I have already done all the hard work and have formatted the upgrades for you. So all you need to do is download them and save them in your SBAV folder (which is one of the folders where your Slingplayer software is installed).
Then you need to edit the SBAV.cfg file (using a text editor like Notepad) and add the C1187 code to the Motorola list.
Then, when you go through the normal process of changing codes in Slingplayer, select Motorola, then select "other" then select the C1187 code.
I put this into the motorola list in the PVR section in the config file. But i cant get into the menu with that remote. Is a way i can get into the menu to look at things ive recorded and to record things in the future?
I have added the RM files for the Moxi to the folder that I linked to above. You can open these files using the RM program which will let you re-arrange the buttons to suit your taste.
Keep in mind that the SBAV.cfg file changes the names of the buttons in the Slingplayer software, so the names that appear in RM are not an exact match to what you will see in Slingplayer.
This is sitll not an officially supported item yet is it? I have the BMC series DVR and am desperately looking for the update that will allow slinging......
I also have a Motorola Moxi DVR that doesn't have an official slingbox IR code. I tried to follow the above instructions, but have still been unable to change the dvr channels from my laptop.
could you please further explain how to "edit the SBAV.cfg file using Notebad"? i am unsure how to do this. maybe this is the problem i'm having.
thanks,
Please disregard part of the last message- I figured out how edit the SBAV.cfg file, but still am not able to change the channels after downloading the files from above.
Please advise.
Thanks.
I think that I am in the same boat as "sling23"...I've downloaded and edited according to all directions posted, but still do not have control over my Moxi BMC9012. Can you offer any additional assistance please?
Thank you.
I got the remote to pop up but I still can't control the moxi. Is it possible I have the cord in the wrong place? It's to the right (your right if you're facing the box) of the clock.
Panda, make sure you're running the Beta version of the Slingplayer, I couldn't control the Moxi either under the standard version of the player.
Also, I have the IR transmitters just to the right to the clock on the Moxi Box, between the clock and the circular button. I have one of the transmitters on top pointing down, and one underneath pointing up. Also have both of them sticking out away from the front of the box a couple of inches. Controls the box right about 98% of the time using the Beta version of the Player with the IR speed setting on Medium (fast is too fast).
I'm running Beta now actually and still nothing. Guess I'm gonna need to tinker a bit

I'm thinking of getting the Slingbox PRO but with so many slinbox community entries around not being able to control the Motorola BMC9012 (Moxi), I'm not at all sure I should.
is there enouugh of the customization on IR codes/etc built into the SlingPlayer v1.4 to allow me to use it effectively with the Moxi?
