I am currently living in Perth, Australia and would be interested to view a sample from the US before purchasing a box that I would set on top of a Dish Network PVR receiver at family members house in Houston. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

If anyone could I would like to sample a viewing of your slingbox to get an idea of the quality of service.
The SlingCommunity Team would like to remind the Community that the End User License Agreement states that it is a violation to share a Finder ID, or allow access to anyone who does not reside in the same residence as the Slingbox. To avoid violating this agreement, we suggest that those who wish to test view the Slingbox do so at a local electronics store or in the company of the Slingbox owner. Sling Media is in the process of working on a demo which will allow users to "test-drive" the Slingbox; availability will be announced at SlingCommunity.com.

By the way, SlingCommunity.COM has posted suggestions for use in this very forum which violates the EULA. SCT, please stop playing Mr. Cop and telling everyone what not to do when you continue to promote violation of the same EULA.
Fluffy,
What suggestions are you referring to?
Mind Over Matt'er - Technology musings, opinion, and more straight from TechLore's head geek.
Here are 2 suggestions which were suggested in an artile which you wrote (which since has been removed). 1) Connect it to your Playstation or XBox and allow your friend to view your game - You have just shared your SLING ID and Password with someone else which clearly violates the EULA according to Sling Community Team. 2) Using it a webcam - This is also violates the EULA as once again you have shared your Finder ID and have allowed someone who does not reside in the same residence to use the sling. These are great suggestions! I am sorry to see your article is no longer available because it shared many great ideas for use of the Slingbox. As long as Sling Community Team wants to be so anal and play 'Sling Natzi'everytime someone offers to demo their slingbox in order to promote this product they need to be prepared to live by the same EULA and promoting it's continued violation. My contention remains and this is something I have heard echoed by SlingMedia in defense of their product is 'Your firewall is a doorway into your house and by allowing someone access past that firewall is no different then someone coming in the front door.'

Telling peopel to go to your local electronic store and see it in action is not always possible.
There are quite a few of us in this country that do not have a Best Buy or Circuit City in our backyard. I for one would need to drive 165 miles to go to my nearest Best Buy and 310 miles to go to Circuit City. Try and find someone at your nearest Wal-Mart who can tell you the difference between a RJ-11 and RJ-45 other then by saying, "this one has a bigger end on it"
There are also peoplewho want to buy online as they do not have the time to go to an electronic store and wait for Skippy to come over and tell you Slingbox will actually control your coffee maker and save you money on gas after the software upgrade comes out early next year.
SlingMedia needed to provide some kind of demo all along. The fact they have not is just foolish but what is more foolish is for the editors of this forum (who are not directly connected to SlingMedia as I understand it) to play COP and tell you that you are violating the EULA anytime you want to demo this product for SlingMedia.
I read somewhere that another FORUM would be coming online very soon which maybe will have a different attidute and allow who actually will not stand in the way of selling this product.
People in my "local electronic store" didn't even know what the Slingbox WAS, let alone being able to demo it. At my local Best Buy, I asked several clerks where it was, and we went on the hunt together... I found it myself in the end.
The clerks asked me what it was, and I told them. They said, "Cool" and "Wow, didn't know that was possible." Even the checkout person asked what it was, and then repeated the "Cool" line.
Looks like Sling has some education to do at the biggest electronic retailer in the country. :)

Why is the EULA so strict, and why does the Sling Team take such an anal attitude?
Simple. There are plenty of entities out there who would love to shut down Sling Media on the thinnest of excuses. It wouldn't take many intellectual property cases to shut 'em down. Therefore, the Sling Team needs to take a hard line against anything that the RIAA, the MPAA, or any other alphabet group could use as ammo in a civil trial.
For all our sakes.
