I was only getting about 400Kb thru my Linksys "B" bridge (see my other post) so I decided to go wired just to be impressed with the speed. Sling--->switch---->laptop. Wired all the way (I was using the physical switch in a Linksys wireless router). I did a factory reset on the Sling and went thru initial setup again. After finishing: 200Kb at best. What gives? And yes, I did wait until it had finished optimizing.

Then, I disconnected the laptop from the wire and associated wirelessly with the same wireless router I was using for the previous step. I was able to ping the router and log in to the router, but I lost the Sling! I was using the same address to talk to it as I was using in the previous step; the only difference was, the laptop was now wireless. I couldn't see or even ping the Sling.

Geez...I spose I'll just go back to my initial setup and be happy with 400Kb. What's going on? Any ideas?
