Just caught wind of a rumor that says all you mobile beta testers are about to be rewarded for your patience. Looks like Sling-on-the-go is imminent!!!

I would also very much like to sign up for beta testing. I just finished hooking up my first slingbox today. I have a iPAQ 3870 and a Dell Axim 51v on the way. If anybody knows what I need to do, please let me know. Thanks.

I would also like to sign up for the beta. I'd like to see how it performs on the Verizon Broadband Wireless network using Mobile Windows. How do you sign up?

Steven, you posted your great news on 12/16. It's now 12/21 - has the beta started without me? :-)

Just got the iMate K-JAM which is Windows Mobile 5 and has built-in 802.11g WiFi.

Looking forward to testing the PPC beta in wireless hotspots.

Thanks Mark, I applied but so far nothing. Like everyone in the community I'm really looking forward to trying the mobile version of the Slingplayer - in my case in my new PPC 6700 through Sprint's EVDO!

It would be a great Hanuka/Xmas present - but since it's already Friday 12/23 it will probably happen later. :-(

The beta has not started yet so don't worry about that. Stay tuned...the community will announce it when it happens - hopefully very soon. All good things come to those who wait :-)

No problem... worth waiting for. I'm banging my sync key on my 6700 at least every half hour hoping to see happy news. Gonna wear out my Exchange server ;)

There was an update on the main page from Jeremy saying that it had started, but only a handful of people were selected as the first "wave". and he said more will follow.

We got a preview demo tonight of the Mobile client that Sling is showing off at CES and it looks and works great. Here's a couple of pics that we took on the Sprint phone:

I need to see this icon on my phone.

Hopefully we can get some good word from CES.

I'm Beta testing it now and I'm in heavan....I'm watching cricket Live in the US from my PAL (Beta) Sling Box in Sydney, Australia. I guess I'm lucky to be Beta testing everything.

Hopefully it will work on the new Treo 700w. :)

Should work on the Treo 700w since it's Windows Mobile 5.

Anyone beta testing that device ? Would be interested in the picture quality given the 240x240 resolution whereas the Treo 650 Palm has 320x240.
