An XBOX is a great home entertainment appliance, A modded X-Box and XBMC can be used to play video from a ReplayTV or windows Server with video/picture/music content, even Itunes.

I would love to see an XBOX version of the SlingPlayer. This would let the xbox then do what my pc does and control a ReplayTV/Cable Box as well as DVD changer without deploying a PC to the bedroom...

Yeah, being able to access a SlingBox from XBMC would be the ultimate.

Although, since SlingMedia uses proprietary tec hnology there is zero chance of it happening.

How about the other way around? Access your modded Xbox through the Slingbox?

Fine if you're travelling.

But I meant accessing someone else's Slingbox when at home via XBMC.

I realise this goes against the usage agreement. But hey, we've already modded our XBOX to run XBMC, so you've already seen we don't allow anything to get in our way :)

yes this is exactly what im looking for. when slingbos is using a kind of wm codec it should be possible to use xbmc to watch your slingbox on tv screen with xbox? there is so many media boxes available now. is there no plan to make the player codec public to force a development of a already available hardware to connect to the tv? don't wanna buy to watch with pc always!
i think its a much bigger marcet then.
