I have a US slingbox which i am setting up on a SKY digibox in the UK.
I have attached all the cables, have it connected to router.
I have downloaded and have got the sky codes working.
a few problems
1 - The feed is in black and white, with no audio
2 - can't get sky channel changing to work even after downloading rm files.
3 - cn't set up router. I have a wireless BT Voyager modem/router, and BT broadband.

Any Help or ideas greatly appreciated
cheers
steve

ok, had a bit of success.

took out s video andput in yellow plug, got audio, but a disturbed picture, changed back and got black and white but this time with audio.

The channel changer only sends 2 numbers, even though i have set the prefernce to send it as 005, it only displays 05 on screen, and can't change channel.

Any ideas appreciated
thanks

hmm.. did you use a pal to ntsc converter?

haven't used PAL/NTSC converter as other people on here have had sucess without it. Do you think i need it?

stevie.. the standard in uk is pal
sky is in pal..
the regular US slingbox only processes ntsc signal..
so unless your tv/skybox is outputting a ntsc signal.. my guess is that you would need a converter to send an ntsc feed to the slingbox..
if there was no conversion issue why would sling be working on a PAL version of slingbox?

good question, but there are a few guys on here who have managed to get a us slingbox to work in the uk, but they didn't mention if they had a pal/ntsc convertor

Have just set up slingbox with Sky+. Initially had picture only in black and white when using an S Video cable. Have since swapped to use the scart output (+ scart to composite video adaptor) to composite video (yellow plug. This works perfectly well producing a good colour picture. No problems with sound from composite audio plugs - above S-video output on Sky box. Also, no need for a PAL to NTSC converter.

I tried this (yellow into scart) and had no picture and a buzzing sound.

With output from scart socket (using a scart to composite adaptor) i have s-video plugged in with red and white directly into audio out sockets on sky box and have a good black and white picture, good audio, but am missing the bottom 10% of the screen.

I fitted a PAL to NTSC convertor but it had no effect so i removed it.

So currently I have everything except colour, any more ideas on getting a colour picture??

I have a normal SKY box not a SKY+ one (its a PACE brand)
