I know one new feature I don't like: it asks what country you're in, and leaves out Canada as a choice. Not that that seems to effect the operation of the box, but Sling: you're selling them here - via Tigerdirect.ca - and our system is closer to the U.S. than anyone else. Can't we play along too?

But seriously: other than the new pretty graphical remote controls, I don't see anything else new here. No new iTunes-like skin, no input buttons along the bottom, and still (grrr) no way to reduce the window to just the video display, nor any way to directly record the video/audio.

Maybe it's more an under-the-hood update, that improves streaming somehow? I can't find any info on Sling's site about what's supposed to have changed.

Bizarre!

No index.htm or html. Smart, you have to know the file name to download it. They probably have that beta mobile player there too, but I don't know the file name, DAMN!
