Ive spent some good money on this thing and now I find out it doesnt control my device!!! Im pissed

Can anyone help before I throw this thing out the window??

You know what??? I dont have a extra $250 lying around like you probally do. Do me a favor, if you dont mind. If you have nothing to say to help my situation than dont waste my thread.

Here are the details. I spent good money on the "box". I thought maybe a company out there would acually help the consumer out, but NO. They sent me another IR cable after I told them I could control my DVD player but not the DVR-633H. But I waited and waited and only 3 day late I got the "new" IR cable. Pluged it in and what do you know it did the same as before. (didnt work) So I called Sling and after a bit of proding the tech finally said there is no code for that model. But you could do our legwork for us and use JP-1 to make your own code.

Well I DONT THINK SO!!!!! DO YOUR JOB!!! AND GET ME THE CODE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its not like the model I have isnt popular....


Robman is that good enough???????

I agree buddy I heard that microsoft will be releasing a product soon that will do the same and more, that is it will be able to learn your remote codes, if that happens I will immediately purchase one

What is so hard with releasing the code for this player?  I had to roll back to an earlier version which under the Pioneer 533 code does work.  Hope that helps.

Johnni37.  Could you email me the code you used for the 533? I just bought the slingbox and can't make the remote work at all with that dvr.
