I am currently remote.

I have full port access to the internet.

I have port 5001 forwarded on my firewall(at home).

I have a domain name that points to my home.

I double checked all this info. even tried connecting with my finderID.

All I get is that same error.

Operation Failed
Error:0x9234006D

any help would be great!

I connected a Slingbox yesterday to my digital cable box. I have port 5001 open on my router and that's all. There are firewalls on all computers connected to the router.

I installed SlingPlayer on two desktop PCs (one at home and one at work) and can connect to the Slingbox from both. I run the home network. The office network is large and I have no information about it other than I know it has a firewall and multiple layers of security.

I also installed SlingPlayer onto my notebook and can connect via my own wifi network in my house. I can also connect through a public wifi connection at a local cafe.

My office also has a public wifi network running and I am unable to get my notebook to connect to the Slingbox via that network. I get the same error message as yours:

Operation failed
Error: 0x9234006D

I'm assuming, since I can connect to the Slingbox through these computers, that my Slingbox and router are set up correctly. I used the Sling Finder ID to connect, and it worked, at least for all the ways I've been able to connect.

I'm also assuming it's not a problem with the notebook setup since the notebook will connect on other wifi networks.

I conclude that the office wifi network is somehow blocking something, although I have no idea what, how or why. I have no problem surfing the internet through that connection.

I'm not sure how much help this is in figuring out what the problem is, but maybe it can help figure out what it isn't. I updated the SlingPlayer this afternoon but it did not fix the problem.

I received error code on my xp pro pc machine of 0x9234006D all of a sudden after the slingbox had been woring for some time now. I also use a Macbook with slingbox and it works ok! No problems with the mac. The mac is wireless and the pc is direct connected to the router D-Link DI-634M. I have port forwarding configured as well as virtual server. I deleted all software including cleaning the registry. Re-installed everything after resetting the router and slingbox and still receive the error that the operation failed and the error code.

I am baffled since it was working one day, and the next day failed

Anyone solved this problem yet?

I had the same problem but I was installing my slingbox for the first time. All my other machines were fine, go figure the last machine gave me that error code. I figured it was a software conflict,I first uninstalled toolbars and stuff I really didn't need. I finally uninstalled MSN program that gave me parental controls over the PC and sling started working ,by the way it also has XP PRO on it. You might have a similar software on that PC causing that error code.

The latest version install is when I started to have the problem. I uninstalled it and went back to the previous version and no problems. Now when I start Sling player I get the message that a new version is ready for download and I refuse it! now problems now.

This error code is caused by "Parental Controls" or "Family Safety Control" software on your computer. I had to disable the parental control and then viewing of the slingbox was available. Hope this helps! Slingbox tech support had no idea about how to fix the issue.
