i upgraded to new software, and i cant run the program..i keep getting a error message that says i need msmxl3 or msmxl parser..i downloaded both of them from microsoft.com and i still cant open new sling software..help!

Shaboogie,

1) are you logged into that PC as administrator? you must be admin to install/run the software.

2) did you say "yes" or "no" to the question of have you installed the software before? make sure you click "no"

3) did you close the old version of the software prior to installing the new version (if applicable)?

1) i am admin
2)i said yes to installed before,,but then afgter it didnt work, i uninstalled and dowloaded complete software
3)yes

now what..i called support,,they said they never heard the complaint before

Here's something to try.
Check and see if you have .NET Framework installed. If so Uninstall it and then go to Windows Update >Custom and install again.

Have a Sansa device or MP3 player, then check out The latest!

i just tried it..didnt work..i neeeeeeeeeeeed my sling!!! help!!! is there somwhere i can download a prior version of the software..i wish i didnt download the update

This worked for shabogie:
1) Start Menu > Run > type CMD
2) In the new window, type CD\
3) Now type CD WINDOWS
4) Now type CD SYSTEM32
5) Now type REGSVR32 MSXML3.DLL
