I live near Boston but have a Sling Box at a location in NY so I can watch Yankee games on the YES Network. I am using the built in tuner and the Sling Box is connected to IO Digital Cable. I have the latest software and firmware. The upload is between 1000 and 1200 usually. All the channels come in great..... EXCEPT the YES Network! I have a Sling Box at home (in Boston) and the picture quality of the two boxes is practicallty identical on all channels - so I don't think I have a defective box. My only issue is that the YES Network comes in much fuzzier and very grainy (although still watchable). I've tried it on several computers all behave the same way. I have played with the settings endlessly with no improvement. Also - there are some Yankee games on WOR channel 9 - those games come in great - like all the other channels. Anyone else seeing this problem? Anyone have a fix? Thanks!

Odd my YES network comes in fine, are you sure if you watch YES network at home it comes in clear.  This seems more like a problem from you cable service (weak signal on that channel or something similar) than the slingbox.  Try connecting a regular tv to the line where the slingbox is connected and see if you get a good signal for YES network.

I did try hooking up a regular tv and the tv PQ looked normal.  When I first installed the sling box I split the cable line in order to hook up the sling box and the tv that was originally there.  I took out that splitter and hooked directly to the sling box (so the tv wasn't hooked up at all) and it was still fuzzy/grainy without the split.  So I didn't think it was a signal issue.

I can't get YES at home (in Boston) but all other channels on the NY sling box come in similarly to the Boston sling box.  If I compare say, FOX News, on both sling boxes the video quality is the same and quite good. It's odd that I only experience the problem on the YES Network!  Must be some kind of "Yankee Fan living in Boston Curse!"

With all that said - I tend to agree that it's something with the cable line and that channel.

Any other thoughts?

I watch the Yankees on YES on my Slingbox.  I have Direct tv at home and I have no problems...  Picture is pretty good!

Get Direct TV and give them your NY address...   Thats what I do in Los Angeles...
