From Buy.com this morning: Slingbox + Linksys Wireless G router = $200 / $185 after rebate (plus free shipping).  Great deal if you are in the market and need a new or spare router.

Buy.com has the Slingbox for $139.99  !!  Straight up (no rebates) and free shipping.   This is the best price I have see anywhere.

Yeah...  saw that deal, and had to come here and see if anything was up.  The offer from buy.com include the verbage "while supplies last".  Which raises several questions, most importanly, WHY?  Why would suppies only last a lmited time?  Several possible answers, now of which I have ANY knowledge of:

1) Sling gave them a killer deal on a bunch of boxes, and they're just passing on the savings

2) Buy.com is dropping the slingbox from it's offering and clearing out inventory

3) Buy.com is just trying to use the slingbox as kind of a "loss leader" pull folks into the site kind of thing

4) Sling has stopped manufacturing the current box, and is seeding the channel with new product which will be introduced shortly

5) What else?

For whatever reason, it's a great price, and a nice chance for folks to jump on the Slingwagon at less than $150, which may be the "trigger price" for some gadget freaks and normal consumers....
