Does anyone have a an IR code for using this box with Slingbox? Is there a way to figure out what it should be? My Slingbox works great but I can't change stations. Thanks...........Rick

I don't see why you couldn't. Was it hard to do? This forum is about sharing so you should be able to post it.  If you can't post it here I'll just reply back with my email. Thanks ..........Rick

Peelers, you are welcome to upload the file to my ftp and I'll be happy to host it for others to download.  Let me know and I'll create an account for you to upload the file.

Send me your email address so I can send you the username and password to the ftp.  I don't want to post it on the group because it will get passed around and I'll have tons of junk on the server by morning.   You can send me a personal message through the forum it you like.

My Bad!  I just fixed the little problem... send away!

I have the file the Peelers sent and I have posted it here for anyone to download http://snapperheadjoe.no-ip.org/Dump/S1776_JU.bin

Unfortunatley I have been unable to get it to work on my SlingBox even though I have the latest beta 1.3.0.168 firmware 1.0.86.  You are welcome to download and try the file.  If someone gets it working on their Slingbox please post what steps you took and the software and beta versions you are running.

Here are the instructions Peelers sent me to activate the remote:

put this file s1776.bin into the

C:\Program Files\Sling Media\SlingPlayer\SBAV folder. Go into sling audo/video setup and composit or s-video depend on which one you used.

select satelite or free to air.

select Echostar / Dish

select other on the list and type in S1776

go through all the rest of the process and you have it.

I use the latest beta version as well. what do you mean you could not get it to work? one the IR cable, you have to put it about 2-3 inches in front of the machine otherwise it will not controll it. I have upload this bin to another person to test it and it is working too.. both old and new version of sling player.

I'm getting the following message when I enter the code S1776... see the attached image.  When I check the SBAV folder I find the follow four files, there are no other files in the folder.

S1776_JU.bin
SBAV-PK.sbav
SBAV-PL.sbav
SBAV-RV.sbav

REmote Code error

How big is the file S1776_JU.bin supposed to be.  I checked the properties it it shows the size as 53 bytes.  That's a really small file.

July 28, 2006 6:31 PM

I will email another one just in case it got currupted, the file is 1k. make sure you select satelite / echostar / other.... I'm using version 1.2.0.157 sling play, I also have non beta version as well..

p.s, make sure the IR cable is all the way in the sling box.

Our good friend Peelers has sent us two working files and here are the links for both.  Apparently one or the other will work with your particular version of SlingBox.  Check out the instruction a couple of posts up to see how to set them up.  The PL version worked for me!

Unfortunately this is not working on my new Fortec Mercury II receiver.

Anyone get one of these receivers working with their slingbox?

Hello. I was wondering if Peelers could assist or anyone else if you have the anwer. I have Peelers S1776_JU.bin working on my Fortec which is just great - many thanks for this. However I cannot find a button that works for the letter 'e' when in the menu settings of the receiver. Here is what does work: last = a info = b input = c pause = d e? guide = f I can't find a button for 'e'. On the remote for the Fortec 'e' is the button marked 'audio'. Can anyone help? Many thanks, Karl.

Hi all, I know this is for the Fortec Lifetime Ultra FTA satellite box.  But I have a Traxis 3500 receiver box that is not supported by my new Slingbox AV.  Does anyone know how to get it to work?  I haven't had much time to go through all the codes in the other option under FTA.  But would it be possible to make a new code like you did for your fortec box for my Traxis 3500?

Hello.

I have  the Fortec Star Platinum NA and I downloaded the S1776.

The code is being loaded by slingbox setup, but it does not control the receiver.

Can anyone help me out inmaking this work?

Thank you Very much.
