Deano, check out this thread, Castermmt posted a link to the firmware you are looking for:
After not receiving any solution to a problem I'm having after upgrading my firmware (slingbox just keeps trying to connect to network even after successfullyhaving been given an IP via DHCP etc), I wish to resort to rolling back the firmware.
Can anyone supply me with older firmware, specifically the 0.8version people keep talking about.

Thanks in advance,
Dean.

Ah I did have a good look, but didn't see that thread. Thanks.

I too was looking for firmware ".80" so I downloaded the file from that link and installed it. Compared to firmware ".61" that was previously installed on my PC, the picture quality with version ".80" seems to be about the same... the stream rates are also basically the same (~1000-2100 Kbps) using the latest SlingPlayer build (1.3.0.176).
Firmware ".80" does seem to optimize the stream size a bit better... even though picture quality is about the same, there seem to be more fluctuation in stream size especially when watching movies with dark scenes. PQ also seem to be good with ".80" even at low bit rates (< 1000 Kbps).
Ironically I cannot keep a link to my slingbox long enough to perform the firmware upgrade. I will need to contact customer support...
