HDMI input? Wow, that sounds great. Any idea if Sling will use a new video codec this time? I have read that the new version of the Sony Locationfree tv will use MPEG4 AVP. Would be nice if Sling also would use a better video codec than they do today.

The different models fit my theory about price points..  Tuner for under $100, A/V a little higher, Pro at the top???

Slinger, how did you find the FCC stuff??

Slinging Tivo HD, Tivo S2, and OTA from a Pro HD, Tivo HD from a Pro, Tivo HD from a Solo, and Humax DRT800 from a Classic to iPhone, Dell Inspiron 1520 with Sprint EVDO, and a SlingCatcher over Mi-Connection cable with 2Mbps upload.

Some people have expressed a concern about loosing the A/V Composite "proprietary" cable. Yesterday, I saw the identical cable sold off the shelf by Artista. It was called "Stereo 'Y' Cable, Stock No. 18-3190" on the package and "Y Adapter Dual 3.5mm" on the shelf. So, anyone who has "misplaced" this adapter or is afraid to... There is a replacement available on the open market.

I beleive you are incorrect.  The stereo y-cable has two connections (i.e. red/white audio)

I believe the correct cable is called a camcorder cable. an example is: http://www.radioshack.com/product/ind...

I stand corrected.  I forgot about the video input because I use the S-Video cable.  Thanks for the info.
