hi did any one help?or did you find how to get it working?
I keep getting Error: 0x8007274D
The Sling Player used to work for me.
What can I do?
I check my connections, etc. - I don't know what other configurations I can create with my wires...?
Hi Dan/Pagemakers, can you give us a little more detail like which version you are using, did you change anything in your configuration and then this started happening, what kind of Slingbox you have, firmware you're running etc.
thanks
B
I'm using the latest software with the stand slingbox. I have made no changes to my network apart from putting the router in a different room.
The system works about 80% of the time and on the other occasions I get the error message when the slingbox is trying to connect.
I am having exactly the same problem. I can only connect to my Slingbox from 1 of the 3 PCs on my network. The other two cannot see the Slingbox. I get error 0x8007274D, and if I try to go through the setup wizard then the affected PCs report no Slingbox on my network. I have tried doing a factory reset on my Slingbox with no success.
I am using a UK Slingbox connected to my router via a wireless bridge. I am on the latest UK firmware and the latest versions of Slingplayer. The most recent change has been the new firmware and Slingplayer, however I know it's worked since then since I used theSlingbox a lot over Christmas remotely from one of the PCs that now can't connect.
This would seem like a firewall issue on the two affected PCs but as I say one of them worked fine very recently with no firewall changes and the other one has no software firewal. The only thing that may be significant is that the two that can't connect are laptops and also connect to the network wirelessly, whereas the one that works (perfectly) has a wired connection to the router.
I'm getting the same error. Things have worked great for months with no problems. Now I can't connect on my home network or remotely. I've got a slingbox classic running v 1.4.0.206. There have been no changes to anything on my home network to cause this problem. Any ideas? I'm using a d-link wireless adaptor to connect to my network. This has worked surprisingly well with absolutely no setup required.
Any resolution for any of you? I have been on a business trip and was watching my slingbox, then the next time that I tried to connect I got this error message. I've confirmed with home that the internet is up and running, and nobody but me deals with the router or slingbox so there have been no changes there. If I can't access this reliably it really does defeat the purpose. I have a 2Wire router, a pro slingbox.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Brian, is there any further info that you might be able to provide? I'm just about at the end of my return window so if I can't get this figured out I will need to return it. Thanks
I have the same problem with my Slingbox AV. It was working fine on saturday morning then I went to use it later in the day and it gives me the same error message. I have tried reseting the slingbox and my router and it doesnt do anything. The only thing that sounds smilar is that we are all using wireless laptops. Is anyone having this problem with a hard wired connection?
I read some other posts on this and tried reseting the slingbox again and going through the setup and making sure the IP is also setup for DMZ and everything seems to be working fine for now.
I've passed this info along to our support and dev teams. As soon as I have more information, I'll be sure to share it. I may also come back requesting info to help us identify and solve this.
Are those with this issue running the latest Slingplayer and latest firmware as far as you know?

I am experiencing the same error message when trying to access over the WAN via either my PC or my mobile phone. Everthing was working fine until a couple weeks ago and now I get this error. I AM able to access the box when I am viewing over my LAN connection. I have the Slingbox Pro and the latest s/w.
I was not able to access it from my WAN or LAN.
When I got home I tried resetting my router, that didn't make a difference, but unplugging the slingbox and plugging it back in got it up and running.
The challenge is not knowing if it's going to work the next time I'm away!

Sandra,
Sorry, hablo un poco' Espanol.
Has your boyfriend ever been able to watch the Slingbox from outside of his local network at home? From the Office, Wi-Fi, anything other then inside of his home-network?
I think you might have an issue with remote-viewing not being activated on your boyfriends home network (router) or you are being blocked at the remote location on the port you setup the Slingbox on (probably 5001).
Sling Support is open on Saturdays from 8-5pm PST, maybe have your bf give them a call when he is local to the Slingbox installed network.
If you are sure remote-viewing has been setup, maybe try having your bf switch the ports being used from 5001 to 443,110,8080,or even 80.
Hope my suggestions help,
Keep on Slingin'
Hey All,
We're still tracking this down.
These types of errors generally refers to something along these lines:
- home network is down
- port forwarding is not set up
- a firewall on the home network is causing remote connection issues
For those of you with the issue, a little more info would be helpful.
- Error occurs inside the home, outside the home, both?
- Have you made any changes to your home network? (New router, new router firmware, etc)
- For those of you with remote viewing problems only, has it ever worked outside the home?
- For those of you withremote viewing issues, have you tried re-configuring the Slingbox for remote viewing? (If not, give it try.)
- For those of you with LAN + WAN issues, have you tried unplugging the Slingbox and plugging it back in? (If not, give it a try.)
If you've never had remote viewing working (Sandra?), I do suggest you contact Support directly. That can assist in configuring your router either over the phone or via PC if you allow them.
To reset remote viewing for those of you who just encountered this issue, within the Slingplayer (when at home) click on Slingbox > Slinggbox Directory > Edit Info > Slingbox Configuration > Network Settings | Change
A Factory Reset may also be called for if the Slingbox can't get a new IP from a new router. Factory Reset instructions are here:

I will try, but unfortunately am out of town and am stranded with an unusable slingbox.

Yes, it worked for a while and now isn't working.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as Thursday is the last day to return this if it isn't going to work reliably on road!
Thanks for your help!
