Eurovox Max Please Help no control

Hi, I have a Eurovox max cable box, A UK Tivo box can control it but the Slingbox cannot. Someone on Tivo forums posted this information from the remote will this help to create a working code, please help its driving me insane i tried all satellite and cable other section codes, none of them work. Has anyone got an idea?

Its a pity the Slingbox crowd dont take our request seriously for the remote codes, there must be a few thousand Eurovox Max boxes out there now!

I have to phone the UK to change channel

There should be a way to learn a few simple basic codes, channel change and numbers would be great, then make a file to load into Sligbox

Hi i have found a complex way around to do this you must know how to flash firmware to the Eurovox. I take no responsibility for people who mess it up. It will allow you to change channels from a sling or the front pannel however it will make the current remote useless.

1. First off get the latest firmware for the Eurovox v2 (older box). This can be difficult to find but try other forums.

2. You must then flash the Eurovox Max box using a patch lead.

3. Connect it up

5. Select satellite free to air receiver

6.Select other as brand

7. Select number 121

8. Now the remote will not work so you must scan channels through slingplayer or using older remote for the Eurovox v2.

9. You need colored buttons to scan. There are none displayed but go to Slingbox, remote controll and custom. Those numbers are the red, green, yellow and blue buttons. I cannot remember what way round. Scan and you are done.

This is complicated but worth it in the end.

It seems a shame to not then be able to use the remote control, however does that mean I can buy a universal remote that will work with the box?

You say I would have to patch it? can you explain how I would do this?

I have just got a working Slingbox remote control code set for the eurovox max receiver, numbers and up and down keys if you would like me to send you a copyRegardsDavidBudapest
