I have the same problem with the Motorola Uverse VIP 1216 DVR box!

can they please do something about this?!?!

Its nice but has a way to go.

It's missing simple stuff like PPV (no live PPV events such as UFC, Wrestling or Boxing) and the VOD selection STINKS and it  has no real VOD services like cable does. (ie no Showtime on Demand, HBO on Demand, Howard TV,  WWE 24/7 etc)

The HD quality is not as good as the picture on my Dish Network setup and a big limiter of this service if you can only watch HD on one TV in your house at a time, so if you have more then one HDTV (like I do) then your always fighting over the single HD stream.

There has been ZERO progress on getting the Slingbox Pro to work with the Uverse Motorola boxes.  I would be happy to send my remote to Sling if it helped them out and speeded up this process.

Has anyone gotten the Motorola VIP-1216 to work with a SlingBox?  My understanding is that it uses Philips RCMM and a 36kHz carrier.

Follow the instructions on the first link and try the file provided in the second link. You will see a download link after you click on the Motorola VIP1200 link.

I'm getting my Uverse installed in 2 weeks so I'll test it out then.

I get that message too. I did download the older version and it opened up. But I don't know what the heck I'm doing. I'm not smart enough for these things

There is another product that works with Uverse.  It has IR learning. Whats so hard about impletmenting IR learning?

I'm even willing to drive over to their HQ with a Uverse box and remote. It's about 45-60 mins away from me. Not the one in India, the one in CA. The Hava device only lets you use one box per network. Won't work with 2 for some reason so I need this Sling to work

What I did was opened the Motorola_VIP1200.txt file from the IR.exe program found in Hifi Remote's website. Copied the info into Remote Master and exported the binary file.

I got Remote Master to work by using the old version of it. Scroll towards the bottom of the sourceforge page and use version v1.76. Choose Slingbox as Remote and PVR as device type.

Maybe someone who's done this before can give it a crack.

I also got the Pro yesterday and have the 2 motorola boxes.  Luckily I am in the IPTV headend.  I have emailed Sharon with Sling Media and I am willing to test any files she has to help with getting this working with the 1200 or 1216.  I will update as I find something.  If anyone finds any work arounds please let me know.

sling box works with att u verse now. just down load new virtual remote it near the bottom of download page on sling site.

I have the VIP 1216 and am able to view Slingbox on my desktop, but not on my mobile. I tried configuring remote viewing but was unable to configure the router. Any suggestions?
