I normally use my Slingbox to watch my Humax DVR but whilst away this weekend the DVR seems to have crashed (frozen picture, isn't responding to the power on/off button sent remotely). I've therefore switched to using the internal DTT tuner and I've been struck by the poor quality of the picture.
My normal streaming speed is about 230kbps but the picture from the tuner does seem worse than the picture I'd normally get remotely on the Sling using the Humax. However what is even more noticeable is that after a few minutes viewing the lip sync seems to gradually get worse - if I then switch channel and come back it improves but it really isn't that watchable at present the way it is. In general when using the Sling at home on the LAN I've also found the internal tuner picture to be under-par - perhaps due to the increased processing power required to decode the DTT signal then re-encode to WMV?
I'd be interested to know what other UK users think of the internal tuner quality.

PS On the upside I was very impressed with the remote 'rescan for channels' capability in the Sling software - it made it easy to add the new five US/five life channels.
