The first thing that appeared on my mac slingplayer was Geraldo Rivera. man! i'll always remember that!
The release of SlingPlayer for Mac is one of those occasions that you'll remember forever. In fact, it could even be one of those occasions you tell your grandchildren about someday, "I remember when SlingPlayer for Mac OS X came out like it was yesterday..."
Well, now is that momentous time, so where are you (home in your pajamas, on a business trip in a hotel), and what's the first thing you saw when you connected to your Slingbox on OS X for the very first time (what show, commercial, menu screen)?
Those who post where they were and what show they first saw will be entered in a random drawing to win the coveted and rare SlingCommunity T-shirt!
TO ENTER: post what you first saw and where you were in this thread by 11:59 PM PST November 7th, 2006 to qualify!
RULES:
You MUST be a SlingCommunity member to particpate.
Only ONE entry per member.
This contest is open to SlingCommunity Members Only! Sling Media employees cannot participate because they already have enough T-shirts.
Good luck and have fun!

Two guys building a motor cycle on Discovery, love those hand made tanks. I was kicked back in my little boys room sharing the show with him.

Why should Big Brother have all the Fun?
I was sitting at home, about to go to sleep when I thought I would check Sling's website just one more time...And bam! There it was for download!
First image on my Mac SlingPlayer was "Rocky Horror Picture Show" on VH1. Scary, but beautiful on OS X. Thanks SlingMedia!
This is GREAT ... why did you wait so long ... our expectations were a lot lower ... Thank you ...
Apartment near St. Peters Vatican City, wearing check PJ bottoms with a PostgreSQL T-Shirt, getting away with barest minimum "goodbye" attention for a lady friend - Transformers: Cybertron! Hehe.
Nothing exciting here.
Sitting in my apartment in Sydney, Australia, wearing my gym clothes... Connected to my Slingbox at my friend's place in California, and saw NOTHING. Black screen. Turns out I was on a blank NFL Sunday Ticket station, and it all works great!

First thing was the CBC morning news. Proper for a good Candian boy. Thanks! Stay connected.
First thing I watched, what I had been waiting for... Monday Night Football. In the campus library..... Guess I should have been writing a paper...
Good to see the Mac version - went right to CNN.

The first thing I saw was some infomercial. I was too excited to play with the software, to care what the product was. Woo Hoo!!!
In the spot booth of the hilton theater in new york.
Working hard pays off in the future, procrastination pays off now.
I was in my office, salivating at the thought that it's finally here. Then, CNN Nancy Grace appeared. I was slightly disappointed.
.. I plugged my Slingbox in for the first time. I was climbing under and around my home entertainment set-up trying to the it connected. Installed the Mac client in the other room and the first thing I saw was the Simpsons playing on Sky One on my Mac!

When i first heard the news I was at work and immediately downloaded the software. When i got home i installed the software and the first thing that was playing on my box was The disney channel's Thats so Raven (kids).
Picked up the SlingBox Pro today from Best Buy. I was at home in my new flannel jammies and the first thing I watched was Monday night's Daily Show with Jon Stewart off one of our Tivos. Very cool. The first commercial we watched by coincidence was one of the new "I'm a Mac... I'm a PC" ads. One of the best out-of-the-box experiences I've had that was a Mac. :)
Slinging a pair of Tivos thru the Slingbox Pro to a dual 1.25Ghz G4 wirelessly thru a DLink 634M at a brisk 3712Kbps.
Here in my house in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Russia, the first thing I saw was an infomercial for real estate thanks to the 15-hour time zone difference with my Slingbox in Florida. Thankfully, I've been able to set the DVR from over here and will soon be watching something a bit more enjoyable.
I was on my couch and I watched a TiVoed episode of Family Guy, which was, incidentally, hilarious.
First thing that came up was Stephen Colbert on my new, gorgeous 24" Intel iMac. Video quality is stunning for streamed video. Wow!
Finally having a Sling Player for Mac is awesome, btw. I would never have bought a Slingbox otherwise, as we have no Windows computers in our home, nor will I give Microsoft my money just so that I can run Windows in Parallels just to sling. So KUDOS to the Sling team for giving the Mac world what we've been waiting for.
