Hello all, just wanted to pass along a tip for all of you trying to use the beta on a G3 and aren't happy.  I was disappointed with performace on my 800mhz ibook, and thought  a ram disk might be the answer. It was.


I downloaded Espereance DV (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/... and used it to create a 16mb ramdisk. Then I simply copied the slingplayer onto it and started the program.

Before I had terrible video studders and lags. This elimintred 95% of them. Full screen video now plays very well, and the player responds quicker. I'm curious if this helps anybody else using an old mac.

Oh, my specs:

iBook G3 800, 640mb ram.
Slingbox Classic streaming my Series 2 Tivo. 900 kbps avg. stream
