Currently the Slingbox Classic for the UK freeview and digital TV market in europe and elsewhere is great,  but for those people who dont yet have a Digital TV  Hard disk based DVR it would be sensible for Sling Media to produce a slingbox with the following features:

1)  Built in Digital TV reception

2)  standard Sling functionality ( net broadcasting, ethernet etc )

3)  built in 160 GB  hard disk recorder ( including ability to record MPEG2 stream direct to disk or in other compressed formats )

4)  Electronic program guide

5)  Scart sockets to allow the slingbox to be connected to the digital TV and used to totally replace any older set top freeview box.

6) the ability to transfer recorded TV programs files previously recorded on the hard disk via USB or over ethernet to the users computer.

This would have two benefits:

1)  saving money for the guys who were also considering buying a set top hard disk recorder for digital TV

2) eliminate a lot of clutter.
