The following is only important if you installed the Replay A/V from Applian Software.

I just discovered that the At-Large Recorder used to record from Slingplayer is not compatible with the recent update to Replay A/V (version 8).

The old Replay A/V (version 7) does continue to work with the At-Large Recorder.

Dang... I was about to upgrade to 8 but was waiting to see what other's findings are.

I've been reading about 8 and talking to Applian's pre-sale and I haven't been getting a straight answer.

8 includes Replay Converter and seems to be allow a stream to be converted after recording. This would be great for me since I'm trying to use the file with a Dlink media player which doesn't support WMV.

(BTW, the link above doesn't work...)

There is a new version(2.3) of at-large that works with current slingbox

http://applian.com/at-large-recorder/support/user_guide2.php

They gave me a free upgrade.

It seems to work very well, I'm impressed, they even had the forethought to support multiple sling boxes.

At-Large Recorder 2.3 is a major rewrite of At-Large Recorder 1, and it works with all known versions of SlingPlayer and Slingbox. Today it is the only commercial application available that lets you record Slingbox device feeds on your Windows PC.

I am going through a case right now, where I bought a At-Large 2 program for my slingplayerAV. I can record , the sound portion is OK, but when I play it, the video portion plays a video graph, as if I were watching a sound recording. I have tried three different programs to convert the video to a different format so I would get a picture that I can see. All to no effect. Any ideas would be appreciated, as I love the slingbox and it would be great if I could record too.

Have you tried to contact Applian to see if they can help.  This is not a support forum for
Applian, per se.  Bill and the other folks at Applian have always been helpful when I have asked questions.

As I have noted before, I have found the At-Large Recorder to be more consistant than other available products.  The SLR/Slinger product is making progress, but does not yet work as well as the At-Large Recorder - that is a personal opinion, others will disagree.  Having said that, the cost of the SLR/Slinger product makes it a suitable option for some.

I have gotten the recorder to work fine(with help from tech support) but now am wondering if I can copy the files to a DVD. Can anyone recommend the best program to use?
