Well, I took my 4yr old with me to the 1 Best Buy in my area that still has the SlingBox Classic and bought it for $129 + Tax = $140.
Decided to get the Classic as the way I am using the Slingbox the Classic version will be enough and cheapest.

Going to try and hook it up later tonite after I get home from work.

1 last question.

I should be able to use the slingbox just by using 1 basic cable tv line that I have split in my 3 way cable adapter and slingbox would not interfere with my regular cable tv service on my other 2 TV?
I just use standard basic cable on that cable line.

here is an example of what I am talking about to be sure what I wanted to do should be ok?
                                            ----> Slingbox ----> Router ---> Laptop & Treo 700w
                                            l
                                            l

Basic Cable Line -----[3 way adapter] ------- > TV 1 (Independent TV use)

                                            l

                                            l -----> TV 2 (Independent TV use)

Without the Slingbox installed, I can watch different channels on my 2 TV at same time even though they share teh same basic cable TV line, its just split into 2 lines.
Having a 3rd line for specific Slingbox use should be no problem for me right as I will just connect the 3rd basic cable tv line to it and then hook it up to my internet router?

Kilim,  your configuration looks good, as long as it is basic cable and you are not relying on any set-top boxes (which it looks like you are not).

Let us know if you run into any problems!

 Keep Slinging!

Excellent.

Can't wait to get out of work tonite and hook it up to see how it works w/ my Laptop and Treo :D

Guess I will test it on my laptop 1st before I buy the SlingPlayer mobile for my Treo.

And ya, I do not have a Cable box hooked into it.

TBH, the only one in my family that has a cable box is my 4 yr old so he can watch teh 4 other kid channels. lol

But that box has its own cable line by itself also.

The mobile works on a trial for 30 days too..  That way you can see how much you use it, etc. before buying..

Finally got everything working last nite and EVERYTHING is GREAT!

Was showing off my Treo 700w using SPM and they are amazed at work.

Playback on my laptop is great too.

Everything that I was planning to do has been done and now its time to figure out what else I can do :D
