Just hooked up my USA purchased Slingbox Pro to my Melbourne based Foxtel IQ digital setop box.

I am using the Foxtel IQ S-Video out direct into the Slingbox S-Video and it works perfectly.

Not using the Slingbox's tuner eliminates any PAL/NTSC issues - you dont need the tuner anyhow if using Foxtel setop box.

Only issue was with getting the remote codes to work as there is no listing for the Foxtel (PACE) box - anyhow a nice forum member sent me some IR code he made up and all (except the EPG) is working fine. So if someone has this part working please let me know Wink

Great product the Slingbox Laughing

Will this allow you to view Australian free to air tv and foxtel or just foxtel?

 Please share the codes

Hi There,

I have only tried using it via the Foxtel IQ box (which also transmits free to air chan's)

My guess is if you try to use the Slingbox's in-built NTSC tuner that is where things might go wrong.

Send me an email at frostyl@bigpond.net.au if you want the Foxtel IQ box IR codes for the Slingbox Pro.

I figured out a really easy way to get iq working.

you dont need to find any ir codes, just go into the setup and instead of selecting digital set top box, select dvd recorder.  then select the pace box, and then the sky model.  thats it.

it changes the remote, but the menu and the channel buttons all work.  the only thing is you cant record.  however you could always get the person who actually has the iq box to record your shows then  you can access them yourself after.
