I have my slingbox connected to a Sony Freeview box. The remote has the Red, Green, Yellow and Blue buttons on which are used for navigating the menus and digital functions. My slingbox general remote doesnt have these tho. Is there an easy way to add them? Thanks.

United KingdomIf they are listed in the menu for the remote under Custom buttons (eg as 'Custom22', 'Custom23', etc.) then you can add items to the Favourites bar that are associated with those custom buttons. There are R/G/Y/B icons in favourites that can be used too.

Can you change the custom buttons functions or rename them? Ive discovered that custom 22 is Red (Page Up) so it would be nice to rename it to "red" instead of custom22 or be able to add it as a button on the remote. Im guessing this isnt possible. Can you make your own remotes anyway?

United KingdomRather annoyingly - no. You're stuck with either the default remote or a couple of others (I think Sky, ntl, & TiVo). I agree it would be helpful to rename them once you've worked out what they do - or even better if Sling would add some more remotes! Although the beta test of the new SW is over I'll certainly feed it back to Sharon (their Beta programme manager) as a suggestion for a future release.
