Got myself a slingbox A/V. Installed in Belgium. Remote viewing out of Austin TX

Everything works flawlessly. Only....I am unable to 'remote control' my settop box? Granted Belgium is a non supported country I do know it is possible since I found an editorial from a belgian journalist who managed to control the telenet digibox.

My question: since telenet (our dig cable provider) probably gets the digibox from an OEM provider, I suspect the settop box is somehow part of the list. Only problem is, I don't know the OEM brand name

Second question: isn't there a way to create a custom remore control base don trial and error?
