I had similar problems though not quite what you describe. That said, I got rid of the SlingLinks and use the Airport Express (as a bridge) along with my Airport Extreme and I have no problems... Hope that helps.
I use a PowerPC G4 as my main computer, Mac OSX 10.4.8, connected to the internet through Comcast cable. I use an airport base station with two ethernet connections (earlier model than Extreme), connect to a Comcast Motorola digital box for my TV using two Slinglinks, once connected to my Airport base station, one connected to the digital TV box. Using this setup I had been able to view my TV both on my PowerPC G4 and on an IBook G4 laptop wirelessly throughout my house. This worked perfectly with the first Mac Beta version but when I upgraded to beta 2, every time I turn off my PowerPC computer for any length of time, I find an error message “Connection Failed: the connection attempt failed. Make sure the slingbox you are trying to watch is set up for remote viewing and not blocked by firewall/nat settings.” If I uninstall including preferences, then reset on my Slingbox AV, and reinstall, it works fine until I turn off the Power PC again. This happens over and over again. My slinglinks are both connected directly to an AC outlet. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?
Thanks for any help.
