Hi

Is anyone else having problems with their CPU usage when browsing this forum?  I've found it has been taking quite a while to load pages but understand this is due to server capacity issues.  However when I then even just a couple of SlingCommunity pages open I find my machine becomes quite sluggish.  Checking CPU usage I can see that iexplore.exe (IE7) is using 99% or so of CPU!  I'm wondering if the editing box could be a culprit?  Certainly while I'm typing this message the cursor in this box seems to constantly flickering as if it is permanently updating things.

CPU usage when I move away from SlingCommunity pages falls back down to normal.

Anyone else had anything similar?

Cheers

Alan

I haven't noticed this. I tried both editors and they give me the same CPU usage. What browser are you using?
Thinking out loud, maybe it has something to do with the Flash ads. Maybe block a couple and see if it makes a difference?

Have a Sansa device or MP3 player, then check out The latest!

I'm using IE7.  You might be correct re. flash ads - things seem to have settled down a bit morenow and CPU is down to 20-30% (although I've only got a couple of SlingCommunity pages open at present).  Will keep an eye on it and post back if I can work out any more!

Might check your Flash player version. Should be able to right click a flash ad, click on about and then compare your version to the latest.
