Anyone has the bin file for the ADB 7200 cable box? This is the cable box used by HOT in Israel. The cable box is described in http://www.adbglobal.com/?q=node/184

I am also looking for those codes.  I have looked on the JP1 site with no luck so far.  Also emailed the company and one of the frequent posters on JP1, but have not yet received a response.  I wonder if the ADB 3100 codes (which can be found on the JP1 site) might work.  I ask anybody with info about this to please respond.  Am leaving Israel in a week and a half to return to the US and still cannot change channels remotely on my slingbox (and don't want to have to phone the in-laws every time I want to watch a different channel).

Thanks for any help.

I have gone thru the same ritual of sending some people private emails and emailing the company, but no response either. I also emailed SlingMedia and sent them the model number and they said they will try to include it in the next version of the player. I have no idea if they will actually do that.

I tried the 3100 codes, but they didn't work for me. At some point in time, if not solution comes up, i will have to find the time to use the procedure described on this site to find the IR codes for the 7200 and then is should be easy to create a .bin file for the slingbox. I will post a message here if/when I do that.

May I suggest that you prepare the PC in Israel for a remote desktop connection so that when such a .bin file comes up, you can update your SlingPlayer configuration.

Thanks very much, YY, for the info.  You saved me a lot of trouble by trying out and letting me know about the 3100 codes.  I just called HOT and am finding out what other cable boxes they have available for the Rehovot region.  So far, they have mentioned that they have ABQ-6940 (which seems quite close to the ABQ-6642 codes available from the latest slingbox update).  They also have some Samsung cable boxes, which might be promising, but they couldn't give me the model numbers yet.  He says he will call me back with those.  If he actually calls me back, I will be floored and further amazed with how customer service in Israel has changed in the past few years.

Regarding Remote desktop.  I thought about that, but I don't have much experience with it (except using Citrix client intermittently).  I might just rely upon walking the inlaws through it, since they will be available to sit at the computer.

I have one other set of relatives with the YES satellite box, I am thinking about setting the box up with them.  Their version is ABS 6642 (perhaps that is controllable with the ABQ-6642 codes, though theirs is satellite and the codes are for a digital cable box).

while I wrote this, the customer service person from HOT just called back (!).  They have Samsung DCATV2300RC and DCATV2100RC as well as another ADB box, ABQ-1H4G.  None of these I have seen as packaged codes on the slingbox.

Sorry for the wordiness, I have become obsessed with getting this to work.

Maybe I can ask everyone on slingcommunity that gets here and need the ADB 7200 codes to go to:

- adbglobal.com and submit a request (thru the customer service link) to provide the codes for the 7200 (http://www.adbglobal.com/?q=node/232)
- slingmedia.com and submit a request (thru the customer service link) to create a sbav file for the 7200 or support it natively in their setup (http://us.slingmedia.com/object/slingboxhelpus.htm)

I have created the bin files required for controlling the ADB7200c.  I have tested them and they work with IR Blaster version 4, Firmware version 1.0.10. They can be found here:
